Penn State is off to a fantastic start this season as they come into this game undefeated through their first handful of games on the year. Despite losing their head coach to Notre Dame after last season, they have picked up where they have left off and they are opening up this season strong. They will be looking to continue doing so with another victory here on Thursday. A victory in this game against Texas A&M would give them a huge résumé boosting victory early on in the regular season and likely put them in the running to make the top 25 next week. This has been a solid showing for Penn State throughout their first few games of the season and they will be looking to maintain that consistency with another quality performance here on Thursday afternoon against a nationally ranked Texas A&M Aggies team. They have been one of the best defensive teams in the country throughout the early part of the regular season, and they will be looking to hold Texas A&M off the scoreboard and pick up a much-needed victory in this one.

Texas A&M is also off to a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to remain undefeated with another victory here on Thursday afternoon against Penn State. They have picked up some solid victories along the way and they already hold a win over a top Big Ten team after beating Ohio State earlier on in the year. They will be looking to grab a victory over Penn State and get their fifth consecutive win to open up the season as well as further establish themselves as a top 15 team in the country. They will need to find a way to get the basketball in the bucket as they are playing one of the stingiest defenses in the country here in this one and it could hamper their 76 points per game average throughout their first four games of the season. They arguably have one of the best early season resumes this season as they have picked up a few victories over power five teams throughout the early part of the year. I expect them to keep the momentum rolling and grab a victory over Penn State here on Thursday afternoon.

#19 Florida Atlantic @ Butler – 2:30PM ET

Florida Atlantic came so close to winning a national championship last season after being eliminated in the final four by San Diego State. Now they are back this season and they will be looking for another deep run in the NCAA tournament and it starts with grabbing a huge momentum boosting victory here on Thursday afternoon against Butler. They are looking to bounce back after losing their previous game, and they will be looking to get the train rolling in the right direction once again with a quality performance here on Thursday against a formidable mid-major opponent. They come into this game ranked 19th and the country and they will be looking to further establish themselves back into the top 10 with some quality victories throughout the rest of November and the month of December as well.

Butler is off to a fantastic start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with a top 25 victory here on Thursday afternoon. The Butler Bulldogs come into this game as winners of three out of their first on the season, and they will be looking to maintain that pace with another quality victory here on Thursday against Florida Atlantic. Butler was one of the better majors in the country and they will be looking to grab themselves a solid, résumé boosting victory here in this one against the top 25 ranked team that made it all the way to the final four last season. They were undefeated up until their last game when they were blown out by Michigan State and they will be looking to bounce back from their loss here in this one on Thursday afternoon against Florida Atlantic. Unfortunately for Butler, I don’t see that happening as I look for Florida Atlantic to pick up the victory in this one.

#3 Arizona @ #21 Michigan State – 4pm ET

The Arizona Wildcats are off to an incredible start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Thursday afternoon against Michigan State. Arizona comes into this game undefeated through their first five games of the season and they will be looking for a sixth consecutive victory here in this one. They have one of the best offenses in all of college basketball this season as they are averaging nearly 100 points per game throughout their first five games of the regular season. They will be looking to replicate those performances in this game on Thursday afternoon against Michigan State as they look to continue building a top-tier résumé heading into the end of November. They have six double digit scores on their roster as they spread the wealth around, and that will likely keep them in the national championship conversation throughout the year as long as they maintain that consistency. 

Michigan State is still looking to recover from their season opening loss to James Madison and grabbing a victory in this game would be a massive momentum boost in the right direction. It would give them one of the best early season wins in college basketball if they could get the job done here on Thursday afternoon against Arizona. Michigan State is usually a team that is associated with the national championship each and every year, however, they come into this season with plenty of doubters against them. They will be looking to prove everybody wrong with a victory here on Thursday afternoon against a very tough Arizona team as they look for a massive boost and a massive résumé building. Unfortunately for Michigan State I don’t see that happening as I look for Arizona to pick up victory here on Thursday afternoon.

Memphis @ #20 Arkansas – 5pm ET

The Arkansas Razorbacks are off to a quality start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling in the right direction with a victory here on Thursday against a quality team. They come into this game ranked inside of the top 25 in the country and they will be looking to further establish themselves as a nationally ranked basketball team with another quality performance here in this one on Thanksgiving Day. Arkansas has gotten themselves off to a quality start to the season and they look to further establish themselves as a legitimate contender for not only the SEC conference championship, but a national championship as well. They played a rough and competitive game against Stanford in the opening round of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament and they will be looking to record another quality performance here on Thursday against the Memphis Tigers as well. 

Memphis picked up a quality victory against Michigan in the opening round of the tournament and they will be looking to grab a second consecutive victory here on Thursday against the Arkansas Razorbacks. They are off to a decent start this season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here in this one against a nationally ranked Arkansas Razorbacks team. Memphis comes into this game undefeated through their first four games of the regular season and they will be looking for a fifth consecutive victory here on Thursday against the Arkansas Razorback says they look to me undefeated on the regular season and pick up a huge résumé building victory early on in the year as well. Unfortunately for Memphis, I don’t see them picking up the victory in this game as I look for Arkansas to grab the win. 

Seton Hall @ #23 USC – 5:30pm ET

Seton Hall is off to an incredible start this season, and they will be looking for their fifth consecutive victory of the year as they look for a top 25 victory in the process. A win in this game would likely guarantee them a spot in the top 25 rankings that come out next week as they look to further establish themselves as a potential contender this season. It has been a solid start to the season for the Seton Hall Pirates, and they need every victory. They can get as they are playing in one of the deepest conferences in the country and their résumé will certainly be a big talking point when the NCAA tournament comes around if they are successful. They are red hot coming into this game and they will be looking to grab another comfortable victory here in this game on Thursday afternoon. 

USC will be looking to grab a solid resume building victory here on Thursday afternoon against Seton Hall. They come into this game ranked 23rd in the country and they will be looking to further prove their case as a top 25 team in the nation. They have looked solid throughout the early part of the year, despite one upset loss when they were missing two of their starters, and they will be looking to grab a solid victory here on Thursday afternoon against a tough Seton Hall team. This is a USC team that has plenty of potential and as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season, they have an opportunity to make a run at the Pac 12 conference tournament championship and a deep run in the NCAA tournament as well. I expect this to be a solid back-and-forth game between two programs but in the end I do look for Seton Hall to upset USC here in this one.
