#3 Marquette @ Wisconsin – 12:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

Marquette is off to a fantastic start this season, and they come into this game against Wisconsin, ranked third in the country. They will be looking for a solid victory on the road here on Saturday afternoon to add a potential huge piece to their résumé throughout the early part of their season. They are coming off of a solid performance in Maui as they lost to the eventual champions Purdue in the championship round, and they will be looking to follow that up with a quality finish to their nonconference schedule, and a victory on Saturday night against a Big Ten team. They will certainly need every victory. They can get along the way before going into conference play, as they are playing in one of the deepest and most competitive conferences in the country this season. They come into this game with six victories through their first seven games of the season, and they will be looking to make it seven out of eight with another quality performance here on Saturday afternoon in Madison.

The Wisconsin Badgers come into this game looking to get a huge momentum boosting victory here on Saturday afternoon at home over their in-state rivals. It would be a huge addition to the résumé before going into conference play at the end of the year, as they are playing in a very competitive Big Ten conference and every résumé building victory along the way will put them one step closer to making the NCAA tournament this season. Wisconsin is off to a respectable start to the regular season as they come into this game with five victories through their first seven games of the year and they will be looking for a huge top 25 victory here on Saturday afternoon. They come into this game with plenty of momentum as they have won their last four games in a row, and they will be looking for a fifth consecutive victory here on Saturday against Marquette. They have been solid on both sides of the court throughout their first seven games of the season and they will need to play their best game yet if they want to get the win in this one. Unfortunately for Wisconsin I don’t see that happening as I look for Marquette to pick up the win on the road.

SportsTips’ NCAAB Pick:

Marquette (-165)

Drexel @ #18 Villanova – 2PM ET

Tony Battalio

Drexel comes into this game looking to hand Villanova their third loss against a mid-major school from Philadelphia this season. Drexel had a rough start of the year. They will be looking to get things on track with a victory in this game over a nationally right Villanova team here on Saturday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Center. They come into this game with four victories through their first seven games as they are hovering right above the .500 mark and they will be looking for a huge momentum boost with a quality performance in this game on Saturday. They have been decent on the defensive end of the court as they are giving up around 60 points per game. However, they need to pick it up on the offensive end of the court as they are only scoring around 65 points per game this season. If they want to accomplish any type of success this season, they will need to be more efficient on the offensive end of the court as scoring 65 points a game in college basketball will not cut it on most nights. They come into this game with a little bit of momentum, as they currently find themselves on a one game winning streak after beating Lafayette in their previous contest.

It has been a quality start to the year for the Villanova Wildcats as they come into this game with six victories, through their first eight games of the season. However, the only problem is they have been unable to beat mid-major schools from the same city as both of their losses come to Pennsylvania and Saint Joseph’s in the big five classic. They will be looking to change that narrative and pick up a victory against Drexel here on Saturday afternoon, and they look to keep their ranking at the top 25 as they will likely slide farther down the rankings with their recent loss to the Hawks in their previous game. Villanova cannot afford to drop nonconference games as they get ready to head into biggies conference play and play in one of the most competitive conferences in the country this season as they need every résumé victory they can grab throughout the early part of the year. I expect them to bounce back here on Saturday afternoon and pick up a victory as well as cover the spread in the process, as they look to get their first victory of this big five classic.

SportsTips’ NCAAB Pick:

Villanova -11.5 (-110)

#7 Duke @ Georgia Tech – 2:15PM ET

Tony Battalio

Duke comes into this game looking to continue their solid start to the regular season as they open up conference play on the road in Atlanta against Georgia Tech. Duke has put up respectable numbers each and every game this season as they have had one of the best offenses in all of college basketball throughout the early part of the year. Duke comes into this game with a record of 5-2 through their first seven games of the regular season and they will be looking for their sixth victory of the season here on Saturday afternoon against the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech. Duke will be looking to bounce back in this game after losing their previous game to the Arkansas Razorbacks in a rather ugly performance. Duke has run rough shot over teams like Georgia Tech over the last several seasons, and they will be looking to keep that trend alive with another quality performance here on Saturday afternoon on the road as they look for their first conference victory of the season.

It has been a rough start of the year for Georgia Tech and they will be looking to get things rolling in the right direction with a quality victory over a nationally ranked Duke team here on Saturday afternoon at home. Georgia Tech comes into this game with three victories through their first five games of the regular season and they will be looking for their fourth victory of the year here in this one on Saturday. They will also be searching for their first conference victory of the season as they look to add a top 10 victory to their résumé early on in the regular season as well. Miles Kelly will have to put up quality numbers in this game as he comes into this game as the leading scorer for the Yellow Jackets with his 20 points per game average. If you record a solid performance in this game, then Georgia Tech will have a legitimate opportunity to pull off the upset. Unfortunately for them I don’t see that happening as I look for Duke to pick up a comfortable victory here in this one on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta.

SportsTips’ NCAAB Pick:

Duke -12.5 (-110)

#20 Colorado State @ Washington – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

Colorado State is off to a very respectable start to the regular season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Saturday night on the road in Las Vegas. They come into this game ranked 20th in the country and they will be looking to move themselves up the top 25 rankings with another solid victory over a power five team when they play the Washington Huskies here on Saturday night. Colorado State comes into this game undefeated through their first seven games of the regular season and they will be looking for their eighth consecutive victory of the year here on Saturday night in Vegas. It is an incredible start for the Rams as they looked to build a respectable résumé heading into conference play at the end of the year. They have been solid on the offensive end of the court as they are averaging around 85 points per game throughout their first seven games of the regular season and they will be looking to maintain that average or another quality game here on Saturday night against the Huskies.

Washington comes into this game, looking to upset Colorado State here on Saturday night in Las Vegas as they look to get a huge résumé building victory early on in the regular season. Washington comes into this game as winners of four out of their first six games on the season and they will be looking for their fifth victory of the year here on Saturday night against a quality mid-major team. This will be a solid momentum boosting victory for Washington. If they could get the job done in this one as they would hand Colorado State their first loss of the season and pick up a top 25 win in the process. Washington has been fantastic themselves on the offensive end of the court as they are averaging around 82 points per game and they will be looking to to surpass that average in this game. As this one will likely turn into a shoot out here on Saturday night in Las Vegas. I expect this to be a close and competitive game, but in the end I do look for Colorado State to bring home the victory over the Huskies.

SportsTips’ NCAAB Pick:

Colorado State -4.5 (-110)

USC @ #11 Gonzaga – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

USC is off to a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Saturday night against the Gonzaga Bulldogs. This game is a big opportunity for USC to get a huge résumé boosting victory early on in the regular season against the top 15 team in the country. USC is one of those teams that could be a legitimate contender in the PAC 12, and potentially a national championship contender as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season. Andy Enfield is arguably one of the best coaches and all of college basketball, and he certainly has the talent on his roster to get the job done as long as chips fall the way they need to for USC this season. USC comes into this game with five victories through their first seven games of the season and they will be looking for their sixth win of the year here in this one.

Gonzaga is off to a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to post another solid performance here on Saturday night against Southern California. Gonzaga has arguably gotten rid of their title as a mid-major but they still have not won a national championship and that is something they will be chasing once again this season. This game is winters of five out of their first six games on the regular season, and they will be looking for their sixth victory of the year here on Saturday night against USC, as they look to further established themselves as a contender to win the title this season. Gonzaga has been fantastic on both ends of the court throughout the early part of the season as they are scoring over 80 points per game on the offensive end of the court and they are giving up less than 70 points per game on the defensive end of the court. I expect them to pick up their sixth victory of the season here on Saturday night against USC as they look to keep the momentum rolling into the month of December.

SportsTips’ NCAAB Pick:

Gonzaga -3.5 (-110)
