The Iowa Hawkeyes are off to a fantastic start to the regular season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling when they hit the road to West Lafayette to play the number one team in the country. Iowa has picked up five victories in their first seven games of the regular season. Now they will be looking for a huge conference victory here on Monday night on the road against Purdue as they look to keep them a minimum rolling. Iowa has one of the best offenses in the country throughout the early part of the regular season, as they averaging around 90 points per game through their first seven games of the year. Iowa has plenty of momentum coming into this game, as they have won two games in a row and they will be looking for their third consecutive of the year on the road against Purdue. This would be a huge resume boosting victory for Iowa if they can get the job done here in this game against the number one ranked Boilermakers. 

Purdue is having a fantastic season but they were upset on the road against Northwestern and their conference opener and it is unlikely they will be the number one team in the country when the new rankings come out. However, they will still be looking to get back into the column, where they quality performance here on Monday night at home against the Iowa Hawkeyes, as they look for their first conference victory of the season. With the way Iowa has been playing throughout the early part of the year, this could end up being a solid résumé building victory for Purdue. As they get ready to head back into nonconference games following this match up against the Hawkeyes. Despite the loss to Northwestern and overtime, Purdue is still one of the top teams in the country and they are still one of the top contenders to win the national championship and they will be looking to prove that here in this game on Monday night. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Purdue to bounce back and pick up the victory here on Monday.

Arkansas State @ #23 Alabama – 8PM ET

It has been an awful start to the year for Arkansas State and they will be looking to grab a huge momentum boosting victory here on Monday night on the road in Tuscaloosa against Alabama. They come into this game with six losses through their first eight games of the regular season, and they desperately need to pick up a victory here in this one if they want to build any type of momentum heading into the remainder of their nonconference schedule throughout the month of December. They will be looking for their third victory here on Monday night on the road against a nationally ranked Alabama team. They will need to play much better than they have throughout the early part of the season if they want to leave Tuscaloosa with a victory here in this one. They have had one of the worst defenses in the country throughout the early part of the year as they are giving up around 80 points per game and they come into this game on a 2 game losing streak as well.

Alabama is off to a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with another victory here on Monday night at home against Arkansas State. They come into this game ranked 23rd in the country and with a dominant victory in this game  they could potentially move them up when the new rankings come out this week. Alabama has been putting on quality performances throughout the early part of the regular season, and they will be looking to add another quality performance to their résumé with a blowout victory over Arkansas State at home. Alabama comes into this game with a record of five and two through their first seven games of the regular season and they will be looking for their sixth victory of the year here on Monday night at home. They have plenty of momentum coming into this game and I expect them to not only pick up the victory over Arkansas State, but also cover the spread in the process.
