The No. 7 Creighton Bluejays (6-2), one of the NCAA’s top shooting teams, host the Nebraska Cornhuskers (5-3) on Sunday. Nebraska blew out the Boston College Eagles 88-67 at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Wednesday. Keisei Tominaga led the way with 23 points. Creighton dropped their last game on Thursday at Moody Center, falling to the Texas Longhorns 72-67. Ryan Kalkbrenner had 20 points and 13 rebounds in the loss to lead the team.

This marks the only meeting of the season between the teams. Creighton triumphed in the only matchup between the teams last season 77-69 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in November 2021, their third straight head-to-head victory. Ryan Nembhard led the Bluejays with 22 points, while Ryan Hawkins contributed 15 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Kobe Webster had 20 points in the loss.

The Cornhuskers have been led this season by Tominaga (11.8 ppg), C.J. Wilcher (11.3), and Sam Griesel (10.5). Griesel also has dished 4.6 assists per game. Meanwhile, Juwan Gary is grabbing 6.1 rebounds per game.

Kalkbrenner’s 16.6 points per game have powered the Bluejays on offense. Baylor Scheierman is posting 9.5 rebounds per game, and Nembhard is recording 5.8 assists. Shooting 49.8% from the field, the Bluejays are one of the most accurate field goal shooting teams in the nation (28th).
