The Washington State Cougars (4-5, 0-2 Pac-12) will try to slow down one of the nation’s top scoring teams when they head to face the No. 11 Baylor Bears (7-2) on Sunday. Washington State was defeated by the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels 74-70 at MGM Grand Garden Arena on December 10.

TJ Bamba was the scoring leader in the loss with 20 points. DJ Rodman added 14 points. Baylor won their sixth in a row at home in dominant fashion on December 6 at Ferrell Center, beating the Tarleton St. Texans 80-57.

Keyonte George had 22 points, seven rebounds, and six assists to lead the team.Bamba is averaging 16.7 points per game to lead the Cougars in scoring this season. Meanwhile, Mouhamed Gueye is grabbing 7.7 rebounds per game, and Justin Powell is dishing 4.2 assists.

George (15.7 ppg), LJ Cryer (14.7), and Adam Flagler (14.3) have supplied much of the Bears’ offense. Flagler also has distributed 5.4 assists per game.

Meanwhile, Flo Thamba has posted 5.1 rebounds per game.The Bears rank as one of the most explosive offenses in the NCAA, 13th-best with 84.6 points per game.
