The No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide (13-2, 3-0 SEC), one of the NCAA’s top scoring teams, travel to face the No. 15 Arkansas Razorbacks (12-3, 1-2 SEC) on Wednesday.
Alabama dominated the Kentucky Wildcats 78-52 at Coleman Coliseum on Saturday, their fourth win in a row. Brandon Miller was the top scorer with 19 points. Mark Sears was another standout performer with 16 points, six rebounds, and six steals.
The Crimson Tide slipped to third in the Southeastern Conference. Arkansas lost on Saturday at Neville Arena, falling to the Auburn Tigers 72-59. Anthony Black had 23 points and seven rebounds in the losing effort, leading the team. The Razorbacks remain eighth in the Southeastern Conference.
The teams are meeting for the only time this season. Alabama got the win in the only game between the teams last season 68-67 at Coleman Coliseum in February 2022. Jaylin Williams led both teams in scoring with 22 points in the losing effort. JD Davison had 11 points for the Crimson Tide.
Miller is averaging 19.1 points per game to lead the Crimson Tide in scoring this season. Miller also has grabbed 8.5 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Jaden Bradley is dishing 3.7 assists. Ricky Council IV’s 18.1 points per game have powered the Razorbacks on offense.
Makhi Mitchell is collecting 5.7 rebounds per game, and Black is distributing 3.8 assists. The Crimson Tide are averaging 82.9 points per game, ranking as one of the highest-scoring offenses in the NCAA (14th).In the last 10 games, Alabama is 8-2 with an average margin of +7.8 (82.4-74.6).
