The Arizona State Sun Devils (19-9, 10-7 Pac-12) will try to slow down one of the country’s top scoring teams when they head to face the No. 7 Arizona Wildcats (24-4, 13-4 Pac-12) on Saturday. Arizona State beat the Utah Runnin’ Utes 67-59 at Desert Financial Arena on Saturday.
With 18 points and four blocks, Warren Washington led the way. The Sun Devils remain fourth in the Pac-12 Conference. Arizona won their sixth home game in a row on Saturday at McKale Memorial Center, beating the Colorado Buffaloes 78-68.
Oumar Ballo had 18 points, 16 rebounds, and three assists to lead the team. The Wildcats are second in the Pac-12 Conference. The teams are meeting for the last time this season. Arizona will be looking for a season sweep against Arizona State after earning the win in the only earlier game 69-60 at Desert Financial Arena in December 2022, their fifth straight head-to-head victory.
Azuolas Tubelis led the Wildcats with 21 points and nine rebounds. Frankie Collins had 12 points in the loss. Desmond Cambridge Jr. and DJ Horne, averaging 12.7 and 11.1 points per game, respectively, have led the Sun Devils in scoring this season. Meanwhile, Washington is grabbing 6.3 rebounds per game, and Collins is dishing 4.4 assists.
Tubelis has been the primary provider for the Wildcats on offense, averaging 19.6 points per game. Tubelis also has collected 9.1 rebounds per game.
