The Dallas Mavericks (36-36, 22-14 Home) will try to slow down one of the league’s top scoring teams when they play host to the Golden State Warriors (37-36, 8-29 Away) on Wednesday.
Golden State topped the Houston Rockets 121-108 at Toyota Center on Monday. Stephen Curry was a top performer with 30 points and seven rebounds. The Warriors are the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
Dallas dropped their last game on Monday at FedExForum, falling to the Memphis Grizzlies 112-108. Kyrie Irving topped the scoresheet in the loss with 28 points. With 20 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, Christian Wood also produced a strong performance.
The Mavericks are the sixth seed in the Western Conference. The teams are meeting for the final time this season. Golden State and Dallas have split their two matchups this season. The Warriors won the most recent meeting, beating the Mavericks 119-113 at Chase Center on February 4.
Curry led the Warriors with 21 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie had 25 points in the losing effort. Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole, averaging 22.0 and 20.2 points per game, respectively, are leading the Warriors in scoring this season.
Meanwhile, Kevon Looney is grabbing 9.1 rebounds per game, and Draymond Green is dishing 6.6 assists. Luka Doncic’s 33.0 points per game have powered the Mavs on offense. He has the second-highest scoring average in the NBA.
Doncic has also tallied 8.0 assists, sixth-most in the league, and 8.6 rebounds per game. With 118.3 points per game, the Warriors are one of the top scoring offenses in the NBA (2nd).
