After winning the only earlier season meeting against Miami 115-111 at FTX Arena on Saturday, San Antonio will be looking for a season sweep. Jimmy Butler topped all players in scoring with 30 points in the loss.
Johnson had 21 points for the Spurs, while Devin Vassell was a key contributor with 18 points. The Heat have been led this season by Herro and Bam Adebayo, who are averaging 21.2 and 20.6 points per game, respectively.
Both are among the NBA’s top scorers, as Herro is No. 1 and Adebayo is first. Adebayo also has grabbed 9.7 rebounds per game, most in the league. Meanwhile, Kyle Lowry is dishing 5.9 assists per game.
Johnson (21.0 ppg) and Vassell (19.9) have supplied much of the Spurs’ offense. Johnson leads the league in scoring, while Vassell is first. Jakob Poeltl is averaging 9.9 rebounds per game, most in the league, and Tre Jones is distributing 6.6 assists (1st).
The Heat are making the first trip to face the Spurs at Mexico City Arena. Miami is looking for a fourth successive road win this season.
