Atlanta Braves @ Philadelphia Phillies – 12:35PM ET

The Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies will be playing the third game of their three game series in this one. In game number one it was the Philadelphia Phillies who picked up the victory. In game number two the Braves picked up the victory. With their win on Tuesday the evened the series heading into this finale.

Tony Battalio

The Atlanta Braves got a huge win in game two of this series to even it up at one game a piece heading into Wednesday’s series finale. It was a huge game for Austin Riley to add yet another hit to his already impressive streak. It also broke a losing streak for the Atlanta Braves as they come into the final game of this series with a record of 59-40 through their first 99 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won six out of their last ten games on the season and are now only two games back of the New York Mets for first place in the National League East.

The Philadelphia Phillies will be looking to bounce back after losing the second game of this three game series. They still have an opportunity to win the series here in the finale but they will have to play much better than they did on Tuesday evening if they want to make that happen. They currently have a record of 50-47 through their first 97 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Atlanta Braves (-155)

Austin Riley extended his hitting streak out to 18 games in Tuesday’s 6-3 win for the Atlanta Braves over the Philadelphia Phillies. The win ended a short two-game skid for the defending champs who are still the only team in the league to not have a three-game losing streak. The Braves are also on the chase of the New York Mets for first place in the NL East, so it’s not a good time for an extended losing streak of any kind.

The series finale is set for Wednesday afternoon as the Braves try to turn their luck around in series finales, which they have lost seven of their last eight. Charlie Morton will be on the mound and has turned his season around, sporting a 2.22 ERA in his last seven starts after a slow beginning to the season. Atlanta got back on track on Tuesday and I think that momentum carries into this game which will be yet another win.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick:

Atlanta Braves (-155)

The Philadelphia Phillies are third in the NL East with a 50-47 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and are currently tied at 1-1 in the series against the Braves. The Phillies are 8th in the league scoring 4.67 runs per game and 11th in the league allowing 4.22 runs per game. Kyle Gibson will be the Phillies’ starter tonight who is 5-4 for the season with a 4.69 ERA. Philadelphia has won 4 of the last 5 home games against teams with a winning record and has lost the last 4 games played on Wednesday.

The Atlanta Braves are second in the NL East with a 59-40 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 6-3 win last night against the Phillies. The Braves are 4th in the league scoring 4.78 runs per game and are ranked 7th in the league allowing 4.00 runs per game. The Braves will start Charlie Morton tonight who is 5-4 for the season with a 4.20 ERA. Atlanta has won 16 of the last 22 road games and 11 of the last 16 third games of a series.

Marko’s MLB Pick:

Atlanta Braves (-155)

Los Angeles Angels @ Kansas City Royals – 2:10PM ET

The Los Angeles Angels and Kansas City Royals will be playing the first game of their three game weekday series in this one. In game number one of the series it was the Kansas City Royals who picked up the victory. In game number two the Angels picked up the victory. With their win on Tuesday the Angels evened the series heading into this finale.

Tony Battalio

The Los Angeles Angels got a huge win over the Kansas City Royals to even up their three game series heading into Wednesday afternoon’s finale. The Angels are still stuck in the middle of a rough stretch at the moment as they come into this game with a record of 41-56 through their first 97 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have lost seven out of their last ten games on the season. The Angels are currently twenty two and a half games back of first place in the American League West division at the moment.

The Kansas City Royals will be looking to bounce back after losing game two of the series to the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday evening. They still have a huge opportunity to win the series here in the finale on Wednesday afternoon. They come into game three of this series with a record of 39-58 through their first 97 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. I have the Los Angeles Angels winning this series.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Los Angeles Angels (+105)

Tuesday the Los Angeles Angels got a rare win on the road as they shutout the Kansas City Royals in a 6-0 result. This win comes just one day after the Royals shutout the Angels 7-0 in the series opener on Monday. Shohei Ohtani went deep in this game for his 21st home run of the season and suddenly LA has won 2 of 3 after a five-game losing streak. Both of these teams are in fourth place of their division so not a lot is on the line in this series but it will be decided in Wednesday’s game. Janson Junk is a rookie who will be making a spot start for the Angels in the finale and that won’t bode well against a Royals lineup that can put up some runs from time to time. I like Kansas City to have a good day at the plate against him and push across enough runs to get this home win.

Kansas City Royals (-155)

The Kansas City Royals are fourth in the AL Central with a 39-58 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are currently tied at 1-1 in the series against the Angels. Kansas City is ranked 26th in the league scoring only 4.00 runs per game and 26th allowing 5.14 runs per game. The Royals will start Brad Keller tonight who is 5-10 for the season with a 4.16 ERA. Kansas City has won 4 of the last 5 home games against teams with a losing record and has won 5 of the last 6 games played on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Angels are fourth in the AL West with a 41-56 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 6-0 win over the Royals last night. The Angels are 25th in the league scoring 4.01 runs per game and 17th in the league allowing 4.38 runs per game. The Angels will start Janson Junk who will make his season debut tonight. The Angels have lost 18 of the last 28 games against right-handed starters and 23 of the last 29 road games.

Kansas City Royals (-155)

Chicago White Sox @ Colorado Rockies – 3:10PM ET

The Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies will be playing the second game of their short two game series in this one. In game number one it was the White Sox who picked up the victory. Now they will be looking to clinch and sweep the series here in game number two.

Tony Battalio

The Chicago White Sox got a huge win over the Colorado Rockies in game one of their short two game series. Now they have the opportunity to sweep the series here in game number two. The White Sox used some solid pitching as they limited the hometown Colorado Rockies to only a single run on Tuesday evening. They now come into this game with a record of 49-48 through their first 97 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won seven out of their last ten games on the year and are currently on a three game winning streak.

The Colorado Rockies will be looking to bounce back after losing a very competitive game one of this two game series. The Rockies are in the middle of an extremely rough season as they come into this game with a record of 44-54 through their first 98 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have lost five out of their last ten games on the year and I have them losing game two of this series as well.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Chicago White Sox (-145)

Jeffery Thomas

Coors Field is known for allowing big offensive games for both teams in the high altitude but that wasn’t the case for Tuesday’s game between the Colorado Rockies and Chicago White Sox. There were only a total of three runs scored as the White Sox secured the 2-1 road win to push their record back over .500 at 49-48. It’s the third straight win for Chicago who is still within arms length of the division lead (3 games back) and a wild card spot (3.5 games back).

They’ll go for the sweep of this quick two-game series on Wednesday but Lucas Giolito can not be trusted in this spot. He has given up 5 or more runs in two of his last three starts and now is in a hitter-friendly ballpark which could spell disaster. The Rockies are 7-3 in their last 10 at home so I’m writing off the poor performance Tuesday and backing them to get the win and split this series.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick:

Colorado Rockies (+120)

The Colorado Rockies are in fourth of the NL West with a 44-54 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 loss in the series opener against the White Sox. Colorado is 7th in the league scoring 4.69 runs per game and is ranked 28th in the league allowing 5.40 runs per game. The Rockies will start Antonio Senzatela tonight who is 3-5 for the season with a 4.98 ERA. Colorado has won 5 of the last 7 home games and have lost 5 of the last 7 interleague games.

The Chicago White Sox are third in the AL Central with a 49-48 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are currently on a three-game winning streak. The White Sox are 17th in the league scoring 4.42 runs per game and 21st in the league allowing 4.61 runs per game. Lucas Giolito will be the White Sox’ starting pitcher tonight who is 6-6 for the season with a 5.12 ERA. The White Sox have won the last 9 interleague games against a right-handed starter and 6 of the last 7 interleague games against teams with a losing record.

Marko’s MLB Pick:

Chicago White Sox (-145)

Oakland Athletics @ Houston Astros – 3:37PM ET

The Oakland Athletics and Houston Astros will be playing the third game of their three game weekday series in this one. In game number one the Oakland Athletics pulled out a shocking win. In game number two the Athletics picked up the victory. With their win on Tuesday the series is officially clinched heading into this finale.

Tony Battalio

The Oakland Athletics are suddenly red hot at the moment as they have now won the first two games of this series against the American League West division leading Houston Astros. The Athletics have now won the first two games of this series and will be going for the sweep on Wednesday afternoon. The Oakland Athletics are now coming into the finale with a record of 37-63 through their first 100 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are the first team in the league to reach 100 games played.

The Houston Astros will be looking to save themselves some momentum after losing both of the first two games of this series. They have lost by a combined score of 8-12, as they have now lost two straight series to their American League West division rivals. Despite the pair of losses they come into this game with a record of 64-34 through their first 98 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. I have the Houston Astros grabbing the win in the finale.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Houston Astros (-190)

The Oakland Athletics are at the bottom of the AL West with a 37-63 record. They have won 5 of the last 6 games including the first two games of the series against the Astros. The Athletics are second to last in the league scoring 3.48 runs per game and are 22nd in the league allowing 4.68 runs per game. Oakland will start Cole Irvin who is 5-7 for the season with 3.08 ERA. The Athletics have won the last 5 games against right-handed starter and have lost 40 of the last 58 home games.

The Houston Astros are on top of the AL West with a 64-34 record. The Astros were on a five-game winning streak before losing back-to-back games against the Athletics. The Astros are 14th scoring 4.54 runs per game and are ranked third in the league allowing 3.42 runs per game. Houston will start Cristian Javier tonight who is 6-5 for the season with a 3.13 ERA. The Astros have won the last four road games against left-handed starter and 19 of the last 26 road games.

Houston Astros (-190)

Cleveland Guardians @ Boston Red Sox – 7:10PM ET

The Cleveland Guardians and Boston Red Sox will be playing the third game of their four game weekday series in this one. In game number one of the series it was the Boston Red Sox who picked up the victory. In game number two the Guardians picked up the victory. With their win on Tuesday they evened up the series heading into this third game.

Tony Battalio

The Cleveland Guardians picked up a massive win over the Boston Red Sox in game two of their series. They did it all with a relief pitcher starting the game for them. It led to them getting a ton of runs and now they will be looking to repeat that here in game three of this series. The Guardians now come into this game with a record of 49-47 through their first 96 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won six out of their last ten games on the season.

The Boston Red Sox will be looking to bounce back here in game number three as the series is currently tied at one game a piece. They are coming into this game with a record of 49-49 through their first 98 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. Boston currently sits in last place of the American League East division as they trail the New York Yankees by seventeen games at the moment.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Cleveland Guardians (+110)

Jeffery Thomas

Red Sox legend and Hall of Famer David Ortiz was honored before Tuesday’s game and proclaimed himself as the good luck charm to his beloved Sox who are in a massive slump. The well wishes were not received however, as moments later the ball was in play and the Cleveland Guardians raced out to a quick 5-0 lead by the top of the 3rd inning. The five run lead held as Boston fell 8-3 at home for the sixth loss in seven games and it was the loss that finally put them into last place in the AL East.

The win has Cleveland just 2.5 games back of the Minnesota Twins for first place in the AL Central and we are getting great value on them once again in game three of the series. There is no reason for Boston to be favorites over just about anybody right now, as they have lost 14 of 18 and I will continue to fade them during this slump. Give me the Guardians and Cal Quantrill to go into Fenway Park and get their second consecutive victory.

Cleveland Guardians (+110)

The Boston Red Sox are on the bottom of the AL East with a 49-49 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and are currently tied at 1-1 in the series against the Guardians. The Red Sox are 13th in the league scoring 4.59 runs per game and are ranked 24th in the league allowing 4.75 runs per game. Boston will start Nathan Eovaldi who is 4-3 for the season with a 4.30 ERA. The Red Sox have won 7 of the last 8 games against AL Central opponents and have lost 7 of the last 10 home games.

The Cleveland Guardians are second in the AL Central with a 49-47 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 8-3 win over the Red Sox last night.
