The Ottawa Senators (24-24-3) and their clutch power play offense welcome the Calgary Flames (25-18-10), one of the NHL’s top penalty killing teams, at Canadian Tire Centre on Monday. Calgary is playing their last of five games on the road coming off a high-scoring 7-2 win over the Sabres on Saturday.
The Flames committed five penalties in the game, conceding one power play goal. Tyler Toffoli led the Flames with two goals. Dillon Dube had a goal and three assists to lead the team in scoring.
Jacob Markstrom saved 21 of 23 shots in the win.Ottawa fell 6-3 to the Oilers on Saturday. Erik Brannstrom, Claude Giroux, and Jake Sanderson each scored once for the Senators. Anton Forsberg started in the loss and only had 31 saves on 37 shots (.837%).
