Look below to find our free NHL picks for the fourth game of the Western Conference Finals between the Avalanche and Oilers.

Colorado Avalanche @ Edmonton Oilers – 8pm ET

Well this is it, if the Edmonton Oilers want to remain in the playoffs and have a chance to fight for the Stanley Cup, they need to win this game. The Colorado Avalanche currently have a 3-0 lead in the series, after winning the first three games 8-6, 4-0 and 4-2, respectively.

Marko Nadin

The Colorado Avalanche are only one step away from advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals. After two wins at home, the Avalanche won 4-2 in Edmonton to take a lead that is already beyond the reach for the Oilers. Edmonton had a good playoffs so far and was expected of them to be a decent opponent to the best team in the conference, which they were in the series opener, but now they are three games down. The Oilers will not give up and, tonight, with their backs against the wall, we will see the best out of them and they manage to win this one to send the series back to Colorado.

Colorado has won the last 6 road games and 43 of the last 59 games after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game. Edmonton has won 20 of the last 26 home games, 62 of the last 92 games played after one day off and has lost the last 4 games when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game.

Marko’s NHL Pick: Edmonton Oilers (+112)

Tony Battalio

The Colorado Avalanche are in a great position as they head into Game 4 of this Western Conference Finals series. They have outscored the Edmonton Oilers 16-8 through the first three games of the series. They are on the brink of winning the Western Conference and a win in Game 4 would wrap this series up and give them a long time to rest throughout the remainder of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Avalanche will also have home ice advantage throughout the remainder of the playoffs.

The Edmonton Oilers have their backs against the wall in this one as they are in a must win situation if they want to keep their season and this series alive. They are down 0-3 after three hard fought games and it looks like they are on their way out here in Game 4 unless they can manage to pull off a huge, much needed win. As for the result of this game, I am going with the Colorado Avalanche to end this series here in Game 4.

Tony’s NHL Pick: Colorado Avalanche (-134)

Jeffery Thomas

The Colorado Avalanche come into Game 4 with the Edmonton Oilers with a commanding 3-0 lead thanks to their 4-2 win on Saturday night. They have to feel good about their chances of moving on to the Stanley Cup Finals now as teams that have gone up 3-0 in a best-of-seven series in NHL history are 198-4. They also have to like their chances given the fact that the Oilers will be without Evander Kane in Game 4.

After giving up six goals in Game 1, the Avs have only given up two in the last 2 games and they should be able to keep up that defensive intensity. Edmonton will be desperate and play their best hockey of the series but in the end it won’t be enough and this is where their season ends.

Jeffery’s NHL Pick: Colorado Avalanche (-134)
