Philadelphia Flyers @ Carolina Hurricanes – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

Philadelphia will be looking to hit the road and pick up a solid victory against Carolina here on Wednesday night as they look to get their season on track throughout the early part of the year. They come into this game, hovering around .500 through their first fifteen games of the season, and they will be looking for their eighth victory of the season here on Wednesday night on the road against Carolina. After spending the last couple of seasons rebuilding, Philadelphia seems to be a team on the rise, and they will be looking to maintain that momentum throughout the early part of the regular season with a victory here against Carolina at one of the toughest venues in the league to play. This will be their fourth consecutive game on the road and they come into this game with some momentum after reeling off two consecutive victories in their previous two games. They will be looking to extend that winning streak to three with another quality performance here on Wednesday night.

The Carolina Hurricanes are off to a decent start this season, and they will be looking to grab another victory here on Wednesday night at home against the Philadelphia Flyers. They are closing in on their 10th victory of the season through their first sixteen games of the year as a victory here in this one would give them double digit wins already this season. They have built up some momentum coming into this one as they have picked up three victories and their previous four games and they will be looking to extend their winning streak to two games with another victory over Philadelphia here in this one. Carolina currently sits in second place of the Metropolitan division, and they will be looking to catch up to the leader and extend their lead over Philadelphia, who sit in the back half of the division at the moment. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Carolina Hurricanes to take home the victory in this game on Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 (-105)

Seattle Kraken @ Edmonton Oilers – 8:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Seattle Kraken come into this game looking to get the momentum rolling early on in the season against a struggling Edmonton Oilers team. Seattle is coming off of their best season in franchise history, but they are off to a pretty slow start to this season and they will be looking to get things going. It could go a long way if they can manage to grab a solid victory over their divisional rivals here on Wednesday night north of the border in Canada. Seattle comes into this game six games below the .500 mark and they will be looking to get things back on track with a victory here on Wednesday night north of the border against Edmonton as they look for their sixth victory of the season. They will be looking to snap a slump as they come into this game as losers of four out of their last five and one of those losses was to the Edmonton Oilers in a previous contest. They will also be looking to snap a current two game losing streak here in this one as well.

The Edmonton Oilers also had a slow start to the season but nobody could’ve possibly seen that coming. They have two of the best players in the league on their roster but an early season injury to Connor McDavid put them behind schedule throughout the first chunk of the year. They will be looking to get things back on track as they look to climb their way back up the standings in the Pacific division, and the Western Conference throughout the month of November. Edmonton comes into this game as losers of 10 out of their first 14 games of the season and that is something that will have to change rather quickly if they want to find any type of success this season. They have started to build up a little bit of momentum after coming off of back-to-back three goal victories over the New York Islanders and the Seattle Kraken, and they will be looking for their second victory over Seattle here on Wednesday night at home. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Edmonton to grab their third consecutive victory and pick up a comfortable win here in this one.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Edmonton Oilers (-190)

Anaheim Ducks @ Colorado Avalanche – 9PM ET

Tony Battalio

Anaheim will be looking to pick up a solid victory on the road against Colorado here on Wednesday night as they look to get the momentum rolling early on in the season. They are one of the youngest teams in the league and they have been going through a rebuilding process for the last couple of years and they will be hoping to see some progress throughout this regular season. They’ve had a pretty successful start to the season, considering the circumstances as they come into this game with a winning record through their first handful of contests. They will be looking to pick up their ninth victory of the season in their fifteenth game of the year here on Wednesday night on the road in Colorado, in one of the toughest environments in the entire league. They snapped a two game losing streak in their previous game with a victory over at San Jose and they will be looking to grab a second consecutive victory and their first victory over Colorado this season here on Wednesday night.

Colorado is having a fantastic start to the season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with a quality victory here on Wednesday night against Anaheim. They will be looking to break the double digit win barrier with a victory here on Wednesday night as they currently sit at nine victories on the year through their first fourteen games of the season. Injuries have been piling up for this Colorado team, and they will be looking to overcome those issues and clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice as they are giving up about three goals a game, which is not sustainable for long-term success. If Colorado can figure out both of those issues and find a way to overcome them, they will have a lot of success this season, and they will compete for a Stanley Cup title, which would be their second in the last three seasons. They come into this game on a one game winning streak after blowing out the Seattle Kraken in their previous contest and I look for them to extend that streak to two with another victory here on Wednesday night at home.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Colorado Avalanche -1.5 (-120)

New York Islanders @ Vancouver Canucks – 10:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The New York Islanders come into this game experiencing a bit of a roller coaster start to the regular season. They will be looking to get things going in the right direction with a crucial victory on the road north of the border in Vancouver here on Wednesday night out on the West Coast. New York comes into this game with only five victories through their first fourteen games of the season and they will be looking for their sixth victory of the year here in this one. The lack of consistency on both ends of the ice have hurt the New York Islanders. They’re at the early part of the season, as they are not scoring enough on the offensive end of the ice and they are giving up too many goals on the defensive end of the ice. They are only averaging around two goals per game and that is not something that will sustain success for them throughout this season. They can live with giving up three goals, but they will have to be a lot more productive on the offensive end of the ice if they want to be successful throughout the regular season.

The Vancouver Canucks are off to a fantastic start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling at home here on Wednesday night against the New York Islanders. After spending the last several years rebuilding their roster, they have finally found success through the early part of the regular season, and they will be looking to maintain that throughout the year as they look to become competitive in the Western Conference and then eventually the league as a whole. Vancouver has already picked up double digit victories through their first fifteen games of the regular season and they will be looking to maintain that consistency throughout the year as they look for their 12th victory of the season here on Wednesday night at home against New York. These two teams are heading in very different directions. This season as New York has lost their last five games and Vancouver has won four out of the last five. I expect that trend to continue as I look for the Vancouver Canucks to pick up a comfortable victory here on Wednesday night against the New York Islanders.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vancouver Canucks (-155)
