Vancouver Canucks @ Philadelphia Flyers – 6PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Vancouver Canucks have had a great start to this brand new season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here in this game on the road in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. Vancouver is still in somewhat of a rebuilding stage, but they have shown plenty of progress over the last several years and this is a season where they have an opportunity to take the next step, and potentially sneak into the postseason and compete for a Stanley Cup title. They are undefeated through their first two games of the season and they will be looking to pick up their third consecutive victory here on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers, after opening up the year with consecutive victories over the Edmonton Oilers.

The Philadelphia Flyers will be looking to knock the Vancouver Canucks off the ranks of the undefeated team remaining in the league through the first week of the season with a victory here on Tuesday night. It has been a middle of the road start to the season for Philadelphia as they have split their first two games of the year and they will be looking to get their second victory of the season here on Tuesday night at home against the undefeated Canucks. It was a rough season last year for Philadelphia and these two teams were in a similar spot. For the last several years, as both of them have been in a bit of a rebuilding phase. However, the Canucks are much farther along than the Flyers, and that is why I expect Vancouver to grab their third consecutive victory to open up the season.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vancouver Canucks (-140)

Minnesota Wild @ Montreal Canadiens – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

Minnesota will be looking to pick up a huge victory on the road against the Montréal Canadiens here on Tuesday night as they look to pick up their second victory of the season in the process. Minnesota comes into this game after splitting their opening two games of the season, and they will be looking to get back and into the winners column with a solid performance on the road north of the border in Canada as this Canadian road trip continues for the Wild. After blanking the Florida Panthers to open up the season, they allowed Toronto to score 7 goals and allowed Auston Matthews to get his second hat trick of the season en route to a blowout loss against the Maple leafs on the road. Now they will be looking to bounce back and pick up their first victory of this road trip here on Tuesday night in Montreal.

The Montréal Canadiens will be looking to pick up a solid victory at home here on Tuesday night against Minnesota as they look to keep the momentum rolling early on in this brand new season. Montreal comes into this game having picked up points in both of their opening two games of the season, despite having only one victory and one loss and overtime which was completely avoidable for the Canadiens and that is something they will be looking to fix as they progress into the year. They are currently on a one game-winning streak, as they got the better of the Chicago Blackhawks the other night by a score of 3-2 at home. Now they will be looking to pick up a victory in the second game of the short three game homestand but I don’t see that happening as I look for Minnesota to grab the victory over Montreal here on Tuesday.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Minnesota Wild (-150)

Tampa Bay Lightning @ Buffalo Sabres – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be looking to go on the road and pick up a solid victory over the Buffalo Sabres here on Tuesday night as they look to get their season headed in the right direction after an up-and-down start throughout their first three games. Tampa Bay has only picked up one victory and their first three games of the season and they will be looking to get their record back to .500 with their second victory of the season here on Tuesday night on the road in Buffalo. Starting slow is not something new to them as they have done that a few times throughout their current dynasty run because of playoff hangover and other factors and they will be looking to kick things into gear with a victory here in this game, as they look to get their record to 2-2-0 through the first week of the season.

The Buffalo Sabres will be looking to pick up a quality victory at home against the Tampa Bay Lightning here on Tuesday night as they look to keep the momentum rolling early on in the year. It has been a rough start to the season for the Buffalo Sabres as they have been winless through their first two games of the season and that is something that we have to change rather quickly, if they want to remain competitive and show signs of being a competitive team throughout the season as well. They play on the defensive end of the ice has been an issue as they are giving up an average of four goals per game through their first two games of the season and I expect those issues to continue as I have Tampa Bay picking up the victory here in this one.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

TB Lightning (-110)

Edmonton Oilers @ Nashville Predators – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a rough start to the season for the Edmonton Oilers as they have suffered back-to-back losses to the Vancouver Canucks. They are still searching for their first victory of the season when they hit the road to play the Nashville Panthers here on Tuesday night. With two of the best players in the entire league on their roster, Edmonton has plenty of expectations coming into this season and aspirations of winning a Stanley Cup, but they are off to a very slow start this season, and they will have to get things turned around rather quickly before it snowballs, and it turns into a lengthy losing streak to open up the year. Edmonton will have to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice if they want to be successful this season after already giving up double digit goals through their first two games of the year.

The Nashville Predators will be looking to take advantage of a struggling Edmonton Oilers team, and pick up a victory here at home on Tuesday evening. Edmonton is having trouble stopping the puck from going into the back of the net and that is something. Nashville will be looking to take advantage of those struggles  in this game as they look to put plenty of goals up on the board and get themselves a quality victory over arguably one of the best teams in the league even though their record doesn’t quite reflect it right now. Nashville could use a victory themselves after losing two out of their first three games of the season and I think they will grab a victory at home here in this game to continue adding to the Edmonton Oilers struggles to open up the year.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Nashville Predators (+120)

Dallas Stars @ Vegas Golden Knights – 10:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Dallas Stars will be looking to hand the defending Stanley Cup champions their first loss of the season here on Tuesday night on the road in Las Vegas. Dallas is off to a decent start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with another victory here on Tuesday night on the road against the Vegas Golden Knights, as they look to further establish themselves as a contender in the Western Conference. This will be the second game of the season for the Dallas Stars and they opened up this brand new season with a victory over the St. Louis Blues at home and now they will be looking to go out on the road and pick up their first road victory of the season, and their second consecutive victory of the year as well.

The defending Stanley Cup champions are off to a fast start this season as they are undefeated through their first three games of the year. They will be looking to keep the momentum, rolling and pick up their fourth consecutive victory with a victory at home over the Dallas stars here on Tuesday night as they look to continue, avoiding the championship hangover, and get off to a fast start this season. It has been a very unique start to the season for the Vegas Golden Knights, as all of their victories have come by the same final score of 4-1 through their first three games of the year. They have looked unstoppable on both ends of the ice and I expect that to continue in this game as I have them picking up another victory this time against the Dallas Stars at home.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vegas Golden Knights (-115)
