Vegas Golden Knights @ Montreal Canadiens – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

The defending Stanley Cup champions are off to a solid start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Thursday night north of the border in Montreal. They have not experienced any type of championship hangover thus far, and they will be looking to keep it that way, with another solid performance against the Canadiens, as they look to further extend their lead within the Pacific division. Through their first sixteen games of the season, they hold a slim lead over a red hot Vancouver Canucks team. They will be looking for a victory here in this one to extend that lead. Vegas is coming off of a loss to the Washington Capitals in their previous game and they will be looking to bounce back as they search for their fifth Road victory in seven opportunities this season. They have been incredible on the offensive end of the ice as they’ve scored the second most goals in the league so far this season, and they will be looking to maintain that with another high scoring performance here on Thursday.

The Montréal Canadiens are off to a rather slow start this season, and they will be looking for a huge momentum boosting victory here on Thursday night at home against the defending Stanley Cup champions. Montreal comes into this game with a losing record through their first sixteen games of the season as they have been hovering around .500 for the majority of the year. They will be looking to pick up their eighth victory of the season here on Thursday night at home against the defending champions, and it will not be easy as they will have to improve their play on both ends of the ice if they want to get the job done in this one. They will be looking to snap a two game losing streak in this game on Thursday night and get the train rolling in the right direction throughout the remainder of November as they look to climb up the standings within the division. Unfortunately for Montreal I do not see that happening as I look for the Vegas Golden Knights to get themselves a comfortable victory on the road here on Thursday night in Canada.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (+125)

New Jersey Devils @ Pittsburgh Penguins – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a roller coaster of a start to the season for the New Jersey Devils, and they will be looking for a victory on the road in Pittsburgh to get things back on track here on Thursday night. It was a solid start of the year for New Jersey until Jack Hughes missed some time with an injury and now they have struggled to find their footing once again throughout the middle of November. They will be looking for a quality victory away from home and this one to kind of reset the mindset and get things back on track heading into the back half of the month. They come into this game hovering around .500 through their first fourteen games of the season and they will be looking for their eighth victory of the season here on Thursday night in the Steel City. They will be looking to gain some much-needed momentum in this game, as well as they come into this one on a three game losing streak at the moment looking to get back on track against Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh has plenty of momentum coming into this game, so New Jersey will have to play a top-tier contest to get the win here in this one.

Pittsburgh comes into this game sitting in the middle of the pack of the standings, and they could use a huge momentum boosting victory here at home on Thursday night. They are hovering around .500 through their first handful of games this season, but they do come into this one with a winning record of 8-6-0 at the moment. They will be looking for their ninth victory of the season here on Thursday night at home against the New Jersey Devils as they look to remain competitive within the Metropolitan division, which is arguably the most competitive division in the entire league. Pittsburgh has struggled at home this season as they have dropped four out of their first seven games in front of their home crowd, and they will be looking to turn that around in this home game as well. They do have plenty of momentum coming into this one as they have picked up five consecutive victories, and I look for them to pick up a sixth consecutive victory here on Thursday night against New Jersey.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Pittsburgh Penguins (-150)

Vancouver Canucks @ Calgary Flames – 9PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Vancouver Canucks are off to a fantastic start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Thursday night on the road against Calgary. Vancouver has been one of the best teams in the league throughout the early part of the year, and they will be looking to maintain that pace as they look to establish themselves as a contender within the Western Conference this season. They come into this game on the heels of the Vegas Golden Knights within the division, and a victory could propel them into first place for the time being. Vancouver comes into this game with eleven victories through their first fifteen games of the season and they have found early success on the road as well. As they come into this game with six victories, through their first nine games away from home on the year, and now they will be looking to make it seven out of ten here on Thursday night in Calgary. They come into this game riding a wave of momentum throughout this part of the season and they will be looking to grab another win here in this one.

It has been a pretty rough start to the season for the Calgary Flames so they could use a huge momentum boosting victory here on Thursday night at home against the Vancouver Canucks. After two back-to-back successful seasons with a pair of playoff appearances, Calgary came into this year with high expectations and so far they have not lived up to those expectations throughout the early part of the regular season. They come into this game with a losing record, and they will be looking to get things back on track, but it will not be easy against one of the best teams in the league here on Thursday night. Calgary comes into this game with double digit losses through their first fifteen games of the season and they have three losses and five home games this season, which will need to change rather quickly if they want to remain competitive throughout the year. They did manage to build up a little bit of momentum before returning home as they picked up a victory over the Montréal Canadiens in their previous game. Unfortunately, for Calgary I don’t look for the success to continue at the moment as I look for Vancouver to grab the victory on the road here in this one.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vancouver Canucks (+105)

New York Islanders @ Seattle Kraken – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The New York Islanders come into this game, looking to find some traction throughout the early part of the season, as they have struggled as of late. It has been a roller coaster of a start to the year for the Islanders, and a victory over Seattle here on Thursday night would help them get back on track or at least enough to be going in the right direction throughout the rest of November. The New York Islanders come into this game four games below .500 through their first fourteen games of the season and they will be looking for a bounce back performance here in this one to get their season back on track early on in the year. Not only do they come into this game with a massive losing streak still in the rearview mirror, but they have been lackluster as well as they have hardly been competitive throughout their last several games. This will be the second game of a back-to-back after playing Vancouver on Wednesday night, and they will be looking to wrap up this back to back with a positive result against Seattle.

The newest team in the league is not enjoying a successful start to the follow up season that resulted in the best season of their existence last year. They are experiencing a bit of a playoff hangover throughout the early part of the year, and they will be looking to get things back on track here on Thursday night at home against the New York Islanders. They come into this game with double digit losses through their first sixteen games of the season and they will be looking for their sixth victory here on Thursday night as they look to get things rolling in the right direction throughout the month of November. This will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Seattle Kraken, so they will not get the rest advantage in this one after facing the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night. Much like the Islanders they will also be looking to wrap up this back to back on a positive note here on Thursday night as they look to get their season turned around. I expect to be a close and competitive game, and in the end I have it going over it’s total goals scored as both of these teams are struggling on the defensive end of the ice.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Over 6 Goals (-110)

Florida Panthers @ Los Angeles Kings – 10:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Florida Panthers are experiencing a somewhat decent start to the season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling out on the West Coast here on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Kings. Florida comes into this game having already picked up double digit victories on the season and they will be looking for their eleventh victory of the season here on Thursday night on the road in Los Angeles. They are currently sitting in the top two of their division, and they will be looking to make a run at the top spot with a string of quality performances throughout the remainder of November. It has been a successful month for them so far as they come into this game on a five game winning streak, and they have won five out of their six games within the month as well. They will be looking to further extend their winning streak, and continue that success with another quality performance here in this game against a tough Los Angeles Kings team.

The Los Angeles Kings come into this game looking to get a solid victory at home over the Florida Panthers here on Thursday night. It has been a decent start of the season for Los Angeles but they are still searching for that early season statement victory and they have an opportunity to get one here in this game against Florida. The Panthers come into this game with plenty of momentum, and Los Angeles will be looking to derail that momentum and get themselves a massive momentum boost in the process here at home. Los Angeles comes into this game searching for their ninth victory of the season as they look to break farther away from the .500 mark early on in the year. Despite having six losses, they have earned three crucial points out of them as three of them have come in overtime so far this season. This homestand hasn’t got off to the best start as they have lost the first two games against Pittsburgh and Philadelphia and they will be looking to knock their first win of this current homestand with a victory here in this one. Unfortunately for them I don’t see that happening as I look for Florida to pick up the win here on Thursday.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Florida Panthers (+110)
