Calgary Flames @ Detroit Red Wings – 5PM ET

The Calgary Flames will be looking to bounce back from their loss in their previous game on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets as they look to pick up a victory on the road against the Detroit Red Wings. Calgary had an issue keeping Columbus out of the back of the net on Friday night as they allowed three goals and that is something they will have to clean up if they want to grab a victory here against Detroit on Sunday afternoon on the road. Calgary comes into this game with only two victories through their first five games of the season and they will have to get things on track early on in the year and that makes this early season game on the road somewhat feel like a must win game for them here on Sunday to snap their losing streak.

Detroit will be looking for a quality victory at home against the Calgary Flames here on Sunday afternoon as they look to continue their solid start to the regular season. This will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Detroit Red Wings after they went on the road to play the Ottawa Senators on Saturday afternoon. They will be hoping that they can still find success despite the quick turnaround heading into this game against a very solid Calgary team here on Sunday. Detroit is coming off of a solid victory on Saturday against the Ottawa Senators after winning by three goals and putting five in the back of the net and I expect them to keep the momentum rolling with another victory here on Sunday afternoon against Calgary.

Boston Bruins @ Anaheim Ducks – 8:30PM ET

It has been a solid start of the season for the Boston Bruins and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling as this West Coast road trip continues for them in Anaheim against the Ducks. This will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Boston Bruins after playing the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night. They will be looking to grab a victory, despite the quick turnaround on the West Coast here on Sunday night as they look to keep racking up victories early on in the season. Boston has had a little trouble finding the back of the net throughout their first four games of the season and they will be looking to do so once again here on Sunday night and that is exactly what I expect against the Anaheim Ducks.

The Anaheim Ducks will be looking to pick up a quality victory here at home on Sunday night against the Boston Bruins. This will also be the second game of a back-to-back for the Ducks as they were on the road against the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday afternoon. Despite just playing on the road last night they still have an advantage in this game because they are playing at home but that is about as far as their advantages extend, as they clearly have the weaker roster and lineup when compared to the Boston Bruins and they will have to pull off the upset in this game and play near perfect hockey if they want to grab the win. I don’t see that happening as I look for Anaheim to lose their second game in the last two days here on Sunday night.
