Tampa Bay Lightning @ Ottawa Senators – 7PM ET

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be playing the second game of a back to back here on Sunday night against the Ottawa Senators after squaring off with the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday evening. This will be the second game of a three game road trip that starts in Detroit and concludes in Buffalo next week and Tampa Bay will be looking to come out on the other end of this game. Successful before heading to their final stop in Buffalo following the weekend. Tampa Bay was unable to grab the victory on Saturday night and now they will be looking to bounce back with a win here against the Ottawa Senators after being upset by Detroit in the first game of this back to back.

This will also be the second game of a back-to-back for the Ottawa Senators after they hosted the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday afternoon. This will be the second game of five consecutive home games for the Ottawa Senators and they will be looking to pick up a huge victory in what can still be considered an upset over the Tampa Bay Lightning here on Sunday night at home. The Ottawa Senators will be looking to hand the Tampa Bay Lightning their second consecutive loss after they were unsuccessful in game one on Saturday night. Ottawa was able to pick up the victory and they will be looking to grab a second consecutive win in this one but I don’t see that happening as I look for Tampa Bay to grab the win. 

Carolina Hurricanes @ Anaheim Ducks – 8:30PM ET

The Carolina Hurricanes will be looking to pick up a quality victory on the road here in Anaheim on Sunday night. This will be the second game of a long West Coast trip to open up the season and the second game of a six game road trip to open up the year for Carolina as well. This will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Carolina Hurricanes as they went to Los Angeles to play the Los Angeles Kings last night and now they have a quick turnaround here in Anaheim on Sunday night. I expect the Carolina Hurricanes to come out in this game and pick up the victory over a struggling Anaheim Ducks  team.

The Anaheim Ducks will be playing their second game of the season in the second game of this back to back at home against the Carolina Hurricanes. They had a rough season last year, but they are loaded with a young core of talent that could take them even farther this season, and hopefully help them improve upon one of the worst records in the league from last year. Anaheim opened up their season last night against the defending Stanley Cup champions on the road and now they will have another tough test here on Sunday night at home against Carolina. It was a rough go of things for Anaheim on Saturday night as they were held scoreless deep into the game and I don’t see them grabbing a victory in this game either.
