Buffalo Sabres @ Toronto Maple Leafs – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Buffalo Sabres come into this game on Saturday night north of the border in Toronto looking to pick up a  huge momentum boosting victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Buffalo is off to a pretty average start to this season and they will be looking to get the momentum rolling on the year and grab a massive win on the road early on in the season. This will be the second game of a back to back for the Buffalo Sabres after they faced off with the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday night. Buffalo is hovering around .500 through their first 11 games of the season and they will be looking to string together some victories and get some consistency going with a victory here on Saturday night on the road in Toronto.

It has also been somewhat of an average start of the season for the Toronto Maple Leafs says they come into this game, even through their first 10 games of the season. Luckily for Toronto they have been able to grab a couple of overtime losses to earn some much-needed points early on in the year, but they will be looking to grab a crucial victory here at home on Saturday night against Buffalo. Toronto came into this season with plenty of expectations and they will be looking to live up to those expectations but they have to get things moving in the right direction early on in the season if they want to accomplish that goal. I expect Toronto to grab a victory here at home on Saturday night against Buffalo to pick up their sixth victory of the season.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5 (+110)

Boston Bruins @ Detroit Red Wings – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

Less than a year removed from setting the single-season record for the most victories in a regular season, the Boston Bruins are off to another fantastic start this year. They will be looking to further add to their impressive start to the season with a victory on the road against Detroit here on Saturday night. Already 10 games into the season, Boston has picked up nine victories and their lone loss came in overtime, which earned them a much needed point in the process. Although this pace is pretty much unsustainable throughout the regular season, they have gotten off a pretty solid start, and put some distance between themselves and the other teams within the division. They will be looking to further increase that distance with another victory here on Saturday night against Detroit as they look to keep their hot start intact.

It has been a pretty decent start to the year for Detroit as well and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with a victory over the hottest team in the league here on Saturday night at home. The Red Wings have been stuck in some of our rebuilding process over the last several seasons, and they are showing plenty of progress throughout the early part of this season. Detroit comes into this game with six victories through their first 11 games of the season and they will be looking to pick up a huge momentum boost with a victory here on Saturday night for their seventh of the season. They will be looking to snap a one game losing streak, as well as break out of a funk where they’ve lost four out of their last five on the year. Unfortunately I don’t see that happening for them as I look for Boston to pick up the victory on the road.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Boston Bruins (-150)

Dallas Stars @ Vancouver Canucks – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Dallas Stars are off to a solid start this season, and they will be coming into this game looking to grab a huge victory on the road north of the border in Vancouver. Dallas will be looking to keep the momentum rolling against a Vancouver Canucks team that is also off the solid start this season as both of these Western conference teams will be looking for a statement victory early on in the year. Dallas comes into this game with seven victories through their first nine games of the season and they will be looking to make an eight out of 10 games with another quality performance here in Vancouver on Saturday night. Dallas will also be looking to extend their three game-winning streak with another victory here in this one.

The Vancouver Canucks are also off to a pretty solid start this season, and they will be looking to defend their home ice with a victory over the Dallas Stars here on Saturday night. Vancouver comes into this game having picked up seven victories through their first 10 games of the year and they will be looking for their eighth victory of the season against another top team in the Western Conference. You can argue that Vancouver is off to the best start out of all the Canadian teams this season, which is unusual, considering the expectations that both Edmonton and Toronto had coming into the year as well as Calgary. I look for Vancouver to keep the momentum rolling with another quality performance here on Saturday night at home and for them to pick up a victory over Dallas in this one.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vancouver Canucks (+105)

Colorado Avalanche @ Vegas Golden Knights – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Colorado Avalanche are yet another team that is off to a pretty quality start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling in this matchup between the two previous Stanley Cup title winners. Colorado comes into this game with seven victories through their first nine games of the season and they will be looking to grab their eighth victory of the year with a quality performance on the road in Las Vegas here on Saturday night. They broke out of their two game, losing streak with a quality performance against the St. Louis Blues and their previous game, and now they will be looking to string together their second consecutive victory with another win here against Vegas.

The defending Stanley Cup champions are off to an absolutely incredible start this season, and they will be looking to grab yet another victory here on Saturday night at home against the Colorado Avalanche. Las Vegas comes into this game as winners of ten out of their first eleventh games on the season and they will be looking for their eleventh victory of the season here in this one at home which is a place that they’ve been so tough to beat over the last several seasons. This will be the third game of their current homestand after they opened up the month of November, with a thrashing of the Winnipeg Jets. I expect them to grab another victory here on Saturday night against Colorado at home.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vegas Golden Knights (+100)

Calgary Flames @ Seattle Kraken – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been an absolutely dreadful start to the season for the Calgary Flames after coming into the year with so many expectations of competing for a playoff spot. They will have to get things turned around rather quickly as the season is moving very fast and most teams are already 10 or more games into this new year. Calgary has already played 10 games this season and all they have to show for it is one overtime loss and a pair of victories and they will have to kick it into high gear rather quickly and start earning points if they want to remain competitive throughout the regular season. They are currently on a massive losing streak and if they don’t clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice that will likely continue as they are giving up an average of four goals per game this season.

The Seattle Kraken aren’t having a banner year thus far either, and they will be looking to recover after making their first playoff appearance and franchise history last season. They have picked up four victories through their first 11 games of the season and they will be looking for their fifth victory of the year at home against a struggling Calgary Flames team. This will be the second game of their homestand and they come into this game on a two game-winning streak as they are starting to pick up some very much-needed momentum throughout the last week with victories, on the road at Tampa Bay, and at home against Nashville. I looked for them to grab a third consecutive victory here on Saturday night at home against Calgary to extend their winning streak to three games.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Seattle Kraken (-130)
