Chicago Blackhawks @ Toronto Maple Leafs – 7PM ET

The Chicago Blackhawks come into this game looking to grab an upset victory on the road in Toronto here on Monday night against the Maple Leafs. It was a rough season last year for Chicago and only three games into this brand new season they are showing plenty of improvements and number one overall pick Connor Bedard has looked pretty solid throughout his first three career games as well. Chicago will be looking to pick up their second victory of the season and even up their record with a quality performance here on Monday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs north of the border in Canada as they look to improve upon one of the worst records in the league from last season.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will be looking to pick up a huge victory at home against the Chicago Blackhawks here on Monday night as they look to keep the momentum rolling after their solid start to the season. They are undefeated through their first two games of the year as they have managed to pick up a pair of victories and they will be looking to make it three consecutive victories with another win here on Monday night at home against a solid Chicago Blackhawks team. Auston Matthews has picked up where he left off last season as he continues to put the puck in the net and I expect him to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to another victory here on Monday night at home as well.

Florida Panthers @ New Jersey Devils – 7PM ET

The Florida Panthers will be looking to go on the road to New Jersey and pick up a crucial victory here on Monday night against the Devils. Florida was one of the best teams in the league last season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling into this season, and a victory. Here in this game would go a long way to establish themselves as a contender early on in the year. They also are in very desperate need of a victory after opening up this brand new campaign with two consecutive losses in their first two games of the season in regulation. As they will be looking to pick up their first victory of the year here on Monday night on the road against a very solid Devils team in a tough place to play.

The New Jersey Devils come into this game looking to further add to the misery of the Florida Panthers, and prevent them from getting their first victory of the season here on Monday night at home. It has been a middle of the road start for the New Jersey Devils throughout their first two games of the season as they have managed to pick up points in both games with one victory, and one loss and overtime that could’ve also easily been avoided and become a win as well. However, they were fortunate enough to still pick up a point from that loss and they will be looking to get back into the win column here tonight at home over the Florida Panthers. That is exactly what I expect as I look for New Jersey to pick up the victory in this game on Monday night.

Arizona Coyotes @ New York Rangers – 7PM ET

The Arizona Coyotes have been the worst team in the league over the last several seasons, but they were able to open up this brand new campaign with a victory. Now they will be looking for their second consecutive victory of the season when they hit the road to New York City to play the New York Rangers on Monday night at Madison Square Garden. Their road trip started off in perfect fashion as they took down the New Jersey Devils in a shootout to open up their year on Saturday night. Now they will be looking to grab a victory in the second game of this four game East Coast road trip here on Monday night against the New York Rangers.

The New York Rangers will be looking to end the celebration early for the Arizona Coyotes and pick up a victory here on Monday night at home. They are one of the toughest teams to beat at home in the entire league, and they will be looking to hold true to that with another victory in this game. It has been a modest start of the season for the New York Rangers as they have split their first two games with one victory and one loss in regulation, and they will be looking to pick up victory number two as well as get back into the winners column with a quality performance here on Monday night at home. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the New York Rangers to pick up the victory over the Arizona Coyotes.

Calgary Flames @ Washington Capitals – 7PM ET

The Calgary Flames have split their opening two games of the season and they will be looking to pick up a crucial road victory here on Monday night against Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. They got their season off to a solid start earlier this week with a victory over the Winnipeg Jets after putting five goals in the back of the net to open up the season. Then they hit the road to Pittsburgh and it would be their undoing as they gave up five goals to the Pittsburgh Penguins on the road and they will be looking to redeem themselves in their second consecutive road game of the season as they continue this East Coast road trip, as they play the second game of a five game road trip here on Monday night in the nation’s capital. 

The Washington Capitals will be looking to pick up a quality victory at home here on Monday night as they look to pick up some momentum after their loss to open up the season. They will be looking to rebound after they dropped their opening game of the season to the Pittsburgh Penguins over the weekend and pick up a quality victory over the Calgary Flames here on Monday night. They looked pretty lethargic throughout their opening game of the year against Pittsburgh, as they failed to register a single goal, and gave up four of their own to the Penguins. I don’t see that changing as I think their slow start will continue, and then the Calgary Flames will pick up the victory in this game on Monday night at Washington.

Detroit Red Wings @ Columbus Blue Jackets – 7PM ET

The Detroit Red Wings come into this game looking to grab a victory on the road in Columbus here on Monday evening. It has been a middle of the road start to the season for Detroit as they have split their opening two games of the year and they will be looking to pick up their second victory of the season with a quality performance here on Monday night in Columbus. They are coming off of a solid victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning at home and their previous game where they put six goals on the board but they will have to clean up their own goaltending after allowing four goals to Tampa Bay. If Detroit can limit the number of goals that Columbus scores and take advantage of Columbus’ goaltending issues, they could escape Columbus with a victory.

The Columbus Blue Jackets will be looking for their second consecutive victory of the season after they picked up their first home victory of the season on Saturday evening. Now they will welcome in the Detroit Red Wings here on Monday night as they look to keep the momentum rolling and remain in the win column after coming into the season with plenty of expectations. Columbus is a very solid team, but they will have to clean up several issues, most notably they have to be a lot better on the defensive end of the ice if they want to have a successful season. I expect them to grab their second consecutive victory with a quality performance over Detroit here on Monday night at home.
