Chicago Blackhawks @ Vegas Golden Knights – 6PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a less than impressive start to the season for the Chicago Blackhawks and they will be looking to get things back on track with a victory on the road against the defending Stanley Cup champions here on Friday night. They come into this game with only two victories through their first seven games of the year as it has been rough on them throughout the first couple weeks of the regular season. They will be looking to turn things around rather quickly, and they will likely have to if they want to remain competitive in their division and conference as we inch closer and closer to being a month through the regular season already. Chicago comes into this game as losers of three straight and they will be looking to snap that losing streak here in this game on Friday night.

The defending Stanley Cup champions are off to a fantastic start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Friday night at home against the Chicago Blackhawks. Las Vegas is perfect through their first seven games of the season as they have picked up seven victories, and all 14 points possible on their record as they head into this game on Friday night against the Blackhawks. A lot of these games have not been close either as they have picked up several multi victories against several teams in the league and I expect more of the same here in this one as I look for Las Vegas to not only pick up their eighth consecutive victory of the season, but also cover the spread in the process.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (-125)

Buffalo Sabres @ New Jersey Devils – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a less than ideal start to the season for the Buffalo Sabres as they have only picked up three victories, and their first seven games of the year. They will be looking to get their record back to even with a victory here on Friday night on the road in New Jersey. Buffalo has been one of the least successful teams in the league over the last several years, and they will be hoping to change that narrative this season and picking up a victory. On the road in New Jersey would be a step in the right direction for them heading into the third week of the regular season. They will also be looking to extend their winning streak after picking up a victory on the road against the Ottawa Senators the other night as they search for their second consecutive victory of the year.

It has been a less than ideal start to the season for the New Jersey Devils as well, as they have only picked up a total of seven points out of a possible 12 through their first six games of the season. They were unable to defend their home ice in the first game of their homestand against the Washington Capitals the other night as they allowed six goals, and looked very rough on the defensive end of the ice. That is something that will have to change rather quickly, if they want to get into the winners column consistently throughout the season, and they will be looking to improve upon that against a Buffalo team that is struggling to put the puck in the net. That is exactly what I expect, as I have the Devils picking up the victory in this game at home.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

NJ Devils (-200)

San Jose Sharks @ Carolina Hurricanes – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

The San Jose Sharks are off to an absolutely awful start this season, and they are by far the worst team in the entire league. They have yet to pick up a single victory through their first six games of the season and only one of those losses have come in overtime. As they have five regulation losses heading into game number seven of the season against the Carolina Hurricanes on the road in Carolina. They will be looking to turn things around rather quickly before they get too far out of playoff contention this early on in the season if they continue racking up losses like they are already. It looks to be a long year ahead for the San Jose Sharks and as of right now there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel for them either.

It hasn’t been an ideal start to the season for Carolina either but they have been a lot better than San Jose has been through the first seven games of the year. Carolina will be looking to grab their fourth victory of the season here on Friday night at home over a struggling San Jose team as they look to get on track early on in the season themselves. Carolina comes into this game on a three game losing streak, and this will be their first home game of the season as they will be looking to recover from losing four out of their last five games after a lengthy road trip to open up the year. This is a game that Carolina desperately needs and that is exactly what I look for them to do as I have them picking up a victory and snapping they’re losing streak where they win here on Friday night at home.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 (-130)

St.Louis Blues @ Vancouver Canucks – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a less than average start to the season for the St. Louis Blues, and they will be looking to pick up a much-needed victory up north of the border in Canada against the Vancouver Canucks here on Friday. St. Louis comes into this game with two victories through their first five games of the season and they will be looking to grab their third victory of the season here in this one against a strong Vancouver Canucks team that is having a solid start to the year. The Canadian road trip for the St. Louis Blues did not get off to a solid start as they opened it up with a loss to the Winnipeg Jets and their previous game and they will be looking to bounce back from that and get back into the winners column with a victory here on Friday night on the road in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Canucks are off to a decent start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling as they search for their fifth victory of the year here on Friday night at home. They have picked up four victories through their first six games of the season and they will be looking to grab a quality home win against a solid St. Louis Blues team that is having a tough time at the moment, and this is arguably the best time to catch them when they are struggling early on in the year. This will be their first home game in quite a long time after a five game trip and their previous five matchups and they come into this one on a two Game winning streak. I expect them to pick up a third consecutive victory here on Friday night at home over St. Louis.

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

Vancouver Canucks (-185)

Los Angeles Kings @ Arizona Coyotes – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Los Angeles Kings will be looking to pick up their fourth victory of on the season on the road here on Friday night against the Arizona Coyotes. It’s been a less than ideal start to the season for a Los Angeles Kings team that came into the year with plenty of expectations, and they will be looking to jumpstart some momentum with a victory here on Friday night on the road in Arizona. This will be their second consecutive game against the Arizona Coyotes after they put six goals in the back of the net against them at home earlier this week, and they will be looking to replicate that performance now that this series will move on the road in Arizona. They will be searching for their fourth victory out of their last five games on the season with a win here in this one.

The Arizona Coyotes will be looking to avenge their loss to the Los Angeles Kings from earlier this week and pick up a much-needed victory at home here on Friday night to open up the weekend. It has been a pretty average start of the season for Arizona as they have picked up three victories, through their first six games of the season and they will be looking to grab their fourth victory of the season here on Friday night at home against the Kings. They will have to be much more efficient on the defensive end of the ice after allowing six goals in their first game against Los Angeles earlier this week. Unfortunately for Arizona I don’t see them fixing a problem that quickly and I have the Los Angeles Kings grabbing the victory in this game

SportsTips’ NHL Pick:

LA Kings (-135)
