Philadelphia Flyers @ Buffalo Sabres – 7PM ET

It has been a relatively slow start to the season for the Philadelphia Flyers, but they have made plenty of progress and their rebuilding efforts or so it seems early on in the year. They come into this game two games under .500 with four victories in their first 10 games of the season and they will be looking to make it five out of 11 with a quality performance on the road in Buffalo here on Friday night. They are currently on a three game losing streak, and they will be looking to get revenge for their loss of the Buffalo Sabres at home and their previous game as these two teams will face off for the second consecutive time. They will have to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice as they are giving up an average of three goals a game, and that is not sustainable if they want to string together some victories throughout the season. 

Buffalo comes into this game looking to grab their second consecutive victory over the Philadelphia Flyers here on Friday night at home. Buffalo has been one of the worst teams in the league for a very long time but they have shown some progress throughout the early part of this season and they will be hoping that continues well into the year. It has been a pretty average start to the season for Buffalo as they are dead even through their first 10 games of the year with five victories, and five losses in regulation. They will be looking to grab their sixth victory of the season here on Friday night at home against Philadelphia and extend their winning streak to three games in the process after back-to-back wins against Colorado and then their previous game against Phila. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Buffalo to pick up the victory here in this one.

New Jersey Devils @ St.Louis Blues – 8PM ET

The New Jersey Devils coming into this game on Friday night looking to get a crucial road victory over St. Louis and get the momentum rolling on this young season. It has been a pretty decent start of the year for the New Jersey Devils as they come into this game with five victories to their name and they will be looking to pick up their sixth victory on the road in St. Louis here on Friday night. They have earned a crucial 11 points out of a possible 16 prior to coming into this game, and now they will be looking to earn two more hard-fought points here on Friday night and one of the toughest environments in the league. They will have to clean up their play on the defensive end of the ice as they are nearly giving up four goals per game and that is not a sustainable formula to win games in this league. 

The St. Louis Blues coming into this game looking to pick up what feels like a much-needed victory here at home on Friday night against New Jersey. Despite playing well on the defensive end of the ice, their offensive production has been lackluster and it has led to them having a losing record coming into this game on Friday night at home. They are barely averaging one goal per game, and that will rarely ever get them a victory in the NHL and that is something that will need to improve rather quickly if they want to remain competitive throughout the regular season. They come into this game with three victories to their name on the season and they will be looking to pick up their fourth victory of the season here on Friday night. Unfortunately for them I don’t see that happening, as I look for the New Jersey Devils to grab the win on the road.
