The San Jose Sharks (19-37-14) and their suffocating penalty killing defense are on the road to face the Edmonton Oilers (39-23-8), the league’s top power play offense, at Rogers Place on Monday. San Jose is coming off a 4-1 loss against the Islanders on Saturday, their sixth defeat in a row.

Edmonton won for the third straight game, beating the Kraken 6-4 on Saturday. Evander Kane scored a hat trick to lead the Oilers. Stuart Skinner surrendered four goals on 37 shots (.891%).
