The Philadelphia Flyers (29-35-13), one of the NHL’s top penalty killing teams, are on the road to take on the Dallas Stars (42-21-14) and their weak power play offense at American Airlines Center on Thursday. Philadelphia is coming off a 4-2 loss against the Blues on Tuesday, their fourth straight defeat.
Morgan Frost and James van Riemsdyk each scored once for the Flyers. Samuel Ersson saved only 28 of 31 shots against (.903%) in the loss.
Dallas beat the Predators 5-1 on Monday. Five players found the net for the Stars. Jason Robertson scored and provided three assists to lead the team in scoring. Scott Wedgewood was impressive in the win, making 26 saves (.962%).

The Stars won the first meeting between the teams this season, a 5-1 victory in November, their fifth straight win against Philadelphia. Esa Lindell and Joe Pavelski each had three points (1G 2A) to lead Dallas. Travis Konecny scored Philadelphia’s only goal. Jake Oettinger got the win, saving 37 of 38 shots (.973%).
