Chicago Bulls @ Toronto Raptors – 7pm ET

The Chicago Bulls come into this game looking to clinch a spot in the Friday play-in game against the loser of last night’s game, the Miami Heat. It may be fair to say that Chicago has had a disappointing season when you realize they have two superstars in DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine on the roster. However, they are also a team that was hampered by injuries this season as they have been without Lonzo Ball this year as well, as he continues to battle injuries. They finished the regular season with a record of 40-42 and in tenth place of the Eastern Conference. 

The Toronto Raptors also were a bit disappointing this season with the likes of Siakam, and VanVleet on their roster. They finished in ninth place of the Eastern Conference and will host this play-in game against the Chicago Bulls. With a victory they will have the opportunity to play the Miami Heat, with the winner receiving the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and playing the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round. I think it’ll be Toronto that gets the victory in this one at home against Chicago.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ New Orleans Pelicans – 9:30pm ET

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be looking to set up a game with the Minnesota Timberwolves if they get a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans in this one. If Oklahoma City is fully healthy, they are a pretty dangerous team that can make a deep run into the playoffs if the dominoes fall the way they need them to. With Shai Gilgeous Alexander healthy and leading the way they will have a great shot at winning this game on the road against a Pelicans team that won’t have Zion Williamson. 

The New Orleans Pelicans are sort of in the same boat as the Oklahoma City Thunder. When they are fully healthy they are arguably one of the best teams in the Western Conference. However, they won’t have Zion Williamson for this one on Wednesday evening as Zion himself and the franchise don’t believe he is ready to return to basketball. They finished the season with a record of 42-40 but if their key pieces would have remained healthy throughout the year, they likely wouldn’t be in this game at all and would be a top four seed in the West. Despite the injury problems I still think they get the victory in this game over Oklahoma City.
