Chicago Bulls @ Miami Heat – 7pm ET

Tony Battalio

The Chicago Bulls picked up a huge victory on the road over the Toronto Raptors to get themselves into this play-in game on Friday night. They will be looking to become the first 10 seed to make the NBA playoffs out of the play-in since the play-in started a few years ago. Chicago has yet to lose to the Miami Heat this season and they certainly have all the tools to get the job done and pick up the victory in this one. As long as they stay consistent and play like they did earlier in the week against the Raptors, the Bulls will make the playoffs with a well-deserved victory in this game.

The Miami Heat had an opportunity to clinch the seventh seed in the Eastern conference the other night, but they came up short against the Atlanta Hawks. They had no answer for Trae Young, and the Hawks minimised the Miami attack and picked up a much-needed victory to clinch the seventh seed in the east. Now Miami has their second opportunity to make a playoff appearance of the season as they look to grab the eighth seed over the Chicago Bulls. However, they have had trouble with Chicago this season, and I look for the trouble to continue as I have the Bulls picking up the victory.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Minnesota Timberwolves – 9:30pm ET

Tony Battalio

The Oklahoma City Thunder picked up a huge upset victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on the road earlier in the week to earn an opportunity in this game. As long as Oklahoma City remains healthy throughout the playoffs, they could be considered a real threat in the Western Conference. Now they will be looking to grab their second victory of the week, and set up a series against the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs. Expect Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to be the star of the show and this one, as he looks to lead his team to the postseason.

The Minnesota Timberwolves blew a massive opportunity to clinch the seventh seed in the Western Conference earlier this week. They blew a double digit lead to the Los Angeles Lakers and now they find themselves in a winner go home situation against an Oklahoma City team with tons of momentum. Minnesota will have to regroup and put aside all the off the court drama if they want to get the job done here on Friday evening and make a playoff appearance this season. However, I simply don’t see that happening as I think Oklahoma City picks up the victory and the playoff spot.
