The Minnesota Timberwolves (29-28, 9-16 Away) will try to slow down one of the NBA’s top scoring teams when they travel to face the Utah Jazz (27-28, 18-11 Home) on Wednesday. Jordan Clarkson recorded 26 points to lead the team in scoring in the losing effort. With 13 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks, Walker Kessler also had a strong game.
The Jazz are the 10th seed in the Western Conference.It’s the final meeting of the season between the teams. Minnesota will be looking to level the season series after earning the win in only one of the three prior matchups.
Utah won the most recent showdown 126-125 at Target Center on January 16. Anthony Edwards led the game in scoring with 29 points in the loss.
Clarkson had 21 points for the Jazz, while Kessler added 20 points, 21 rebounds, and four assists. The T’Wolves have been led this season by Edwards, who is averaging 24.6 points per game.
Meanwhile, Rudy Gobert is grabbing 11.4 rebounds per game, fourth-most in the NBA, and D’Angelo Russell is dishing 6.2 assists. Lauri Markkanen (24.8 ppg) and Clarkson (21.1) have supplied much of the Jazz’s offense.
