The teams are meeting for the last time this season. Phoenix will be looking for a season sweep against San Antonio after coming out on top in the only earlier matchup 133-95 at AT&T Center in December 2022, their seventh straight head-to-head victory.
Deandre Ayton led the Suns with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists. Johnson had 27 points in the loss. The Suns have been led this season by Ayton and Mikal Bridges, who are averaging 17.1 and 16.4 points per game, respectively. Ayton also has grabbed 9.9 rebounds per game, while Bridges has dished 3.5 assists per game. Johnson (21.5 ppg) has powered the Spurs’ offense.
Jakob Poeltl is posting 9.0 rebounds per game, and Tre Jones is recording 6.4 assists. The Suns rank as one of the toughest scoring defenses in the league, fifth-best with 111.4 points per game allowed. The Suns have had the advantage in recent trips to AT&T Center, winning six of the last 10.
