This marks the last meeting of the season between the teams. After winning both of the earlier season matchups against San Antonio, the last of which was a 130-114 victory at Paycom Center in December 2022, Oklahoma City will be looking for a season sweep. Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 28 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and four blocks.
Devin Vassell had 20 points in the losing effort. The Thunder have been led this season by Gilgeous-Alexander, who is averaging 31.2 points per game, fourth-highest in the NBA. Meanwhile, Josh Giddey is contributing 7.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game.
Johnson has supplied much of the Spurs’ offense, averaging 21.6 points per game. Zach Collins is posting 6.1 rebounds per game, and Tre Jones is distributing 6.2 assists.
Look for plenty of transition offense in this matchup that showcases two of the league’s most fast-breaking teams, as the Thunder and the Spurs rank third and fourth, respectively, in possessions per game.
