The teams are meeting for the first time this season. Memphis swept all four games between the teams last season, the last of which was a 112-111 triumph at AT&T Center on March 30, their seventh straight head-to-head victory.
Dejounte Murray led the game in scoring with 33 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. Tyus Jones had 25 points and six assists for the Grizzlies.Morant is averaging 28.5 points per game, best in the league, to lead the Grizzlies in scoring this season. Jakob Poeltl is averaging 9.8 rebounds per game, most in the NBA, and Jones is distributing 6.0 assists (1st). The Grizzlies are one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league, ranking fifth with 116.1 points per game.
