Both teams will be looking to end losing runs when the Golden State Warriors (20-21, 3-16 Away) travel to face the San Antonio Spurs (13-29, 8-14 Home) on Friday. Keldon Johnson had 24 points to lead the team in scoring in the losing effort. With 22 points, six rebounds, and six assists, Tre Jones also produced a strong performance. The Spurs are 14th in the Western Conference.
The teams are meeting for the final time this season. Golden State will be aiming for a season sweep against San Antonio after getting the win in the only prior matchup 132-95 at Chase Center in November 2022. Poole led the Warriors with 36 points.
Johnson had 15 points in defeat. The Warriors have been led this season by Thompson and Poole, who are averaging 20.8 and 20.8 points per game, respectively. Meanwhile, Kevon Looney is grabbing 8.4 rebounds per game, and Draymond Green is dishing 6.7 assists.
Johnson (21.3 ppg) has supplied much of the Spurs’ offense. Jakob Poeltl is averaging 9.5 rebounds per game, and Jones is doling out 6.4 assists. The Warriors have struggled immensely in recent visits to Alamodome, losing each of the last 10.
