The Orlando Magic (27-38, 15-17 Home) will try to break down one of the NBA’s top shooting defenses when they host the Milwaukee Bucks (46-18, 19-12 Away) on Tuesday. Milwaukee beat the Washington Wizards 117-111 at Capital One Arena on Sunday, their eighth win in a row away from home.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was the standout player with a triple double, posting 23 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds, and three blocks. The Bucks are one game ahead of the Boston Celtics atop the Eastern Conference, currently sitting in first. Orlando dropped a close one on Sunday at Amway Center, falling to the Portland Trail Blazers 122-119.
Paolo Banchero scored 26 points to lead the team in scoring in defeat. With 15 points and eight assists, Markelle Fultz also impressed. The Magic are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference. The teams are meeting for the final time this season.
Milwaukee will be looking for a season sweep against Orlando after taking both of their earlier games, the most recent of which was a 139-117 victory at Fiserv Forum on Wednesday, their 13th straight head-to-head victory. Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 31 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Cole Anthony had 28 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in the losing effort.
The Bucks have been led this season by Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 31.2 points per game, fourth-highest in the NBA. Antetokounmpo also has grabbed 11.9 rebounds per game, second-most in the league.
Meanwhile, Jrue Holiday is dishing 7.3 assists. Banchero and Franz Wagner have supplied much of the Magic’s offense, averaging 20.0 and 18.8 points per game, respectively. Banchero has also filled the stat sheet with 6.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. The Bucks rank as one of the league’s stingiest FG% defenses, holding foes to to a second-lowest rate of 45.1%.
