New York won in impressive fashion on Monday at Madison Square Garden, beating the Phoenix Suns 102-83. Julius Randle had 28 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists, leading the team. The Knicks are seventh in the Eastern Conference.
The teams are meeting for the final time this season. San Antonio will be seeking a season sweep against New York after coming out on top in the only earlier matchup 122-115 at AT&T Center on Thursday. Johnson led the Spurs with 30 points, while Romeo Langford played a key role with 23 points.
Randle had 41 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists in the losing effort. Johnson and Devin Vassell, averaging 21.5 and 19.4 points per game, respectively, have led the Spurs in scoring this season. Meanwhile, Jakob Poeltl is grabbing 9.3 rebounds per game, and Tre Jones is dishing 6.5 assists.
