The Chicago Bulls (13-18, 6-11 Away) will try to overcome one of the league’s top shooting defenses when they are on the road to face the New York Knicks (18-14, 8-8 Home) on Friday.
Chicago squeaked by the Atlanta Hawks 110-108 at State Farm Arena on Wednesday. DeMar DeRozan had a standout performance with 28 points. The Bulls are 11th in the Eastern Conference.
New York fell short on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden, falling to the Toronto Raptors 113-106. Julius Randle had 30 points and 13 rebounds in the loss to lead the team.
The Knicks are sixth in the Eastern Conference. This is the final meeting of the season between the teams. New York will be pursuing a season sweep against Chicago after earning the win in both of their earlier games, the most recent of which was a 114-91 victory at United Center on Friday, their third straight head-to-head victory.
RJ Barrett led the Knicks with 27 points, while Jalen Brunson added 22 points and six assists. Zach LaVine had 17 points in the losing effort. DeRozan is averaging 25.9 points per game to lead the Bulls in scoring this season.
DeRozan also has dished 4.7 assists per game. Meanwhile, Nikola Vucevic is grabbing 10.4 rebounds. Randle (22.5 ppg), Brunson (20.4), and Barrett (19.7) have supplied much of the Knicks’ offense. Randle also has averaged 9.3 rebounds per game, while Brunson has doled out 6.3 assists per game.
