The Milwaukee Bucks (17-6, 11-3 Home) will try to slow down one of the NBA’s top scoring teams when they play host to the Sacramento Kings (13-9, 5-5 Away) on Wednesday.
Sacramento defeated the Chicago Bulls 110-101 at Golden 1 Center on Sunday, their third win in a row. Malik Monk was the scoring leader with 20 points. Domantas Sabonis had a triple double with 11 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Kings are fifth in the Western Conference.
Milwaukee were victorious on Monday at Amway Center, beating the Orlando Magic 109-102. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 34 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists, leading the team. The Bucks are two games behind the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference, currently sitting in second.
It’s the first meeting of the season between the teams. Milwaukee won both games between the teams last season, the last of which was a 135-126 triumph at Golden 1 Center on March 16, their 12th straight head-to-head victory. Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 36 points, while Khris Middleton played a key role with 32 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
Sabonis had 22 points and seven assists in the loss. The Kings have been led this season by De’Aaron Fox, who is averaging 23.1 points per game, best in the NBA. Meanwhile, Sabonis is contributing 11.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game, placing him first and first in the NBA, respectively.
Antetokounmpo has been the primary provider of the Bucks’ offense, averaging 31.9 points per game. He is the No. 1 scorer in the league. Antetokounmpo also has pulled down 11.3 rebounds per game, most in the league. Jrue Holiday has distributed 7.5 assists per game. With 119.6 points per game, the Kings are one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league (2nd).
