The Miami Heat (43-38, 26-14 Home), one of the league’s top scoring defenses, welcome the Orlando Magic (34-47, 14-26 Away) on Sunday. Orlando lost to the Brooklyn Nets 101-84 at Barclays Center on Friday, their third loss in a row.
With 14 points, Cole Anthony was the top scorer in the loss. Goga Bitadze was another key contributor with 12 points and 15 rebounds. The Magic are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference. Miami lost on Friday at Capital One Arena, falling to the Washington Wizards 114-108.
Victor Oladipo had 30 points in defeat to lead the team. The Heat are seventh in the Eastern Conference. It’s the last meeting of the season between the teams. Orlando will be looking to even the season series after winning only one of the three earlier games, including a 126-114 overtime victory at Amway Center on March 11.
Wendell Carter Jr. led the Magic with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Jimmy Butler had 38 points in the loss. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, averaging 20.0 and 18.7 points per game, respectively, are leading the Magic in scoring this season. Banchero also has grabbed 6.9 rebounds per game.
Meanwhile, Markelle Fultz is dishing 5.7 assists per game. Butler (22.9 ppg), Bam Adebayo (20.6), and Tyler Herro (20.3) have supplied much of the Heat’s offense.
Adebayo also has collected 9.3 rebounds per game, while Butler has tallied 5.3 assists per game. The Heat are one of the best scoring defenses in the league, ranking second with 109.8 points per game allowed.
