Los Angeles was beaten by the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-101 at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday, their third loss in a row. Paul George was the standout player in the losing effort with 25 points. The Clippers are sixth in the Western Conference.
Golden State won their third in a row in dominating fashion on Tuesday at Chase Center, beating the Portland Trail Blazers 123-105. Jordan Poole led the team in scoring with 29 points. With 21 points, Donte DiVincenzo also impressed.
The Warriors are the fifth seed in the Western Conference.The teams are meeting for the last time this season. Los Angeles and Golden State have split their two matchups this season. The Clippers took the last meeting, beating the Warriors 134-124 at Crypto.com Arena on February 14.
Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 33 points and seven rebounds. Poole had 28 points and six assists in the loss. The Clips have been led this season by George, who is averaging 23.5 points per game. George also has dished 5.2 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Ivica Zubac is grabbing 10.1 rebounds.Klay Thompson (22.1 ppg) and Poole (20.8) have supplied much of the Warriors’ offense. Kevon Looney is pulling down 9.1 rebounds per game, and Draymond Green is tallying 6.7 assists.
The Warriors are one of the most explosive offenses in the NBA, ranking second with 118.4 points per game. The Clippers are 3-4 in seven games at Chase Center. Golden State is looking for a fifth successive win at home this season.
