Phoenix Suns @ Chicago Bulls – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

With all the talent that the Phoenix Suns have on their roster, you would think they’d be off to a much better start this season, but the inability to stay healthy for their superstars has cost them several games. Phoenix comes into this game looking to pick up a massive momentum boosting victory early on in the season on the road against the Chicago Bulls here on Wednesday night. They come into this game as losers of four out of their first seven games on the season, and they will be looking to grab their fourth victory of the season in this road game to get the train back on the tracks and rolling throughout the early part of the year. Phoenix recently snapped a four game losing streak in their previous game with a victory over Detroit and they will be looking for a second consecutive victory here in this one on the road in Chicago.

Chicago is in somewhat of a similar situation as Phoenix as they have plenty of talent on the roster but so far the results are not coming for the Bulls throughout the early part of the season. They will be looking to turn things around with a massive momentum boosting victory over one of the top teams in the Western Conference here at home on Wednesday night as they like to get things rolling in the right direction throughout the early part of the season. Chicago comes into this game as losers of five out of their first eight games on the season and they will be looking for their fourth victory of the year here in this one as well at home against the Phoenix Suns. Much like Phoenix, a victory in their previous game, snapped a three game losing streak for the Bulls and they will be looking to make it two straight in this one as well. Unfortunately for Chicago, I don’t see that happening as I look for Phoenix to grab the win in this one.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Phoenix Suns (-105)

Miami Heat @ Memphis Grizzlies – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a pretty underwhelming start of the season for the Miami Heat and they will be looking to get things back on the right track with a quality victory here on Wednesday night in Memphis. Miami comes into this game with a losing record as they have dropped four out of their first seven games on the season and after coming into the year with plenty of expectations this is not the start that they envisioned. They did lose plenty of talent over the off-season via trades and free agency but there’s no excuse for a team that has been one of the top contenders in the Eastern Conference for the last several years. This game against a struggling Memphis team, feels like one of those games that you cannot afford to lose early in the season as they will be looking for a huge momentum boost with a quality performance, and a win here on Wednesday night on the road.

It has been a rough start to the season for Memphis, as they have recently just picked up their first win of the season, and without Ja Morant, they easily look like one of the worst teams in the league. They will be looking to grab their second consecutive victory after grabbing a win on Sunday night against Portland on the road and now they will return home against Miami looking to do the same here in this one on Wednesday night. Desmond Bane has stepped up from Memphis throughout the first few weeks of the regular season, and that will likely become a normal occasion throughout the entirety of Ja Morant’s suspension. However, other players are going to have to start stepping up from Memphis if they want to be successful this season and keep themselves in playoff contention before Ja returns to the lineup. Unfortunately for them I don’t see them getting the victory in this one at home as I look for Miami to claim the road win here on Wednesday night.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Miami Heat (-115)

New Orleans Pelicans @ Minnesota Timberwolves – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

New Orleans comes into this game looking to grab a solid victory on the road against Minnesota here on Wednesday night. This is a team that has a ton of potential as long as their superstars remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season. If they can manage to remain healthy and consistent this is a team that could make a deep playoff run this season with the likes of CJ, McCollum, Zion Williamson, and Brandon Ingram roster. New Orleans comes into this game with a winning record through their first seven games of the season as they have managed to pick up four victories along the way. They will be looking for their fifth victory of the season in this road game against Minnesota here on Wednesday night as they look to get the momentum rolling early on in the year.

Minnesota comes into this game looking to pick up a solid victory at home over one of the better teams in the Western Conference. Minnesota is one of those teams that came into this season with plenty of expectations and plenty of potential as well, and they will be looking to live up to both of those things throughout the regular season. It has been a pretty decent start of the season for the Minnesota Timberwolves as they come into this game as winners of four out of their first six games of the year, and they will be looking to make it five out of seven with another quality performance here on Wednesday night at home. They are currently on a three game-winning streak with all three victories coming at home, and they will be looking for a fourth consecutive victory here in this one. That is exactly what I expect, as I look for their momentum to carry them to a fourth consecutive victory here on Wednesday night at home against New Orleans.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Minnesota Timberwolves -6.5 (-110)

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Oklahoma City Thunder – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

Cleveland came into this season with very high expectations after their early exit from the postseason last year. Despite coming off of a victory against Golden State in their previous contest on Sunday they are still still off to a pretty slow start to the season. Now they will hit the road to play Oklahoma City for the second and final time this season and they will be looking to extend their winning streak to two games with another quality performance here on Wednesday night. Donovan Mitchell has been going absolutely crazy throughout the early part of the season and he will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here in this one as well as he tries to lead Cleveland to a much-needed victory on the road in Oklahoma City. Cleveland comes into this game as losers of four out of their first seven games of the year and they will be looking for their fourth victory of the season here in this one.

Oklahoma City is a young and hungry team that has plenty of potential to be a contender within the league over the next several seasons. Considering the situation they are off to a pretty decent start this season as they come into this game with a winning record through their first seven games of the season and they will be looking for a fifth victory here on Wednesday night at home against Cleveland. They come into this game on a one game winning streak after picking up a win over the Atlanta Hawks in their previous contest. This will be the second game they’ve played against Cleveland this season and the last time these two teams met Oklahoma City picked up a three-point victory on the road. However, I don’t see lightning striking twice as I look for Cleveland to bounce back and pick up the victory here on Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Cleveland Cavs (-140)

Golden State Warriors @ Denver Nuggets – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

This is going to be one of the marquee matchups of the night as these two Western Conference contenders face off in Denver on Wednesday evening. The Golden State Warriors come into this game looking to keep their hot start to the season going against the defending NBA championship in this one on the road. Golden State comes into this game as winners of six out of their first eight games of the season and this game could potentially put them at the top of the Western Conference standings if they get a victory over the Denver Nuggets here in this one on the road on Wednesday night. This will be the fourth game of their current road trip and their fifth game on the road and their last six games on the season and they are performing much better on the road than they did last year which is a massive key to their early season success. They will also be looking for their second consecutive victory of the year after beating the Detroit Pistons in their previous game.

The Denver Nuggets are off to a fantastic start this season as they are not suffering any type of championship hangover throughout the early part of the year so far. They come into this game as winners of seven of their first eight games of the season and they will be looking to make it eight out of nine with another quality performance over Golden State here at home on Wednesday night. This is going to be one of the best games of the evening and it is likely going to result in a high scoring game that could potentially go back-and-forth all the way down to the final second on the clock. This is one of those games where it feels nearly impossible to pick a winner, which is why I’m going with the safer route. I am picking this game to go over its line here on Wednesday night between Golden State and Denver.
