Toronto Raptors @ Washington Wizards – 7PM ET

An Eastern Conference clash between two explosive backcourts as the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards face off in the nation’s capital. Fred VanVleet and Bradley Beal are two of just four players to score at least 50 points this season while Kyle Lowry and Russell Westbrook bring an intensity and triple double threat that not many other players have.

Monday saw the Raptors get a 128-113 win over the Grizzlies, making it four from their last five as they now sit in eighth in the East. VanVleet had an impressive showing with 32 points, nine assists and three steals while Pascal Siakam had 32 of his own, along with five boards and six assists.

Washington on the other hand snapped a two game losing streak with a 105-101 win in Chicago, but they still sit in 14th in the East with the third worst record in the league. Beal had 35 points, five rebounds and seven assists in the win as Westbrook missed the game due to rest.

While the Wizards duo might be better than Toronto’s, the Raptors have a better roster from top to bottom. Siakam is the third fiddle for Toronto that the Wizards don’t have the luxury of own and they should be too much for Washington’s porous defense to handle.

NBA Pick – Toronto Raptors (-210)
NBA Spread – Toronto Raptors -5.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 234.5 (-110)

Atlanta Hawks @ Dallas Mavericks – 7:30PM ET

A rematch of a clash played exactly a week ago that saw the Dallas Mavericks escape Atlanta with a 122-116 win. They have since come out and split a pair with Golden State before a 127-122 victory over the Timberwolves on Monday. The Hawks have played just two games since they last saw the Mavs, a 21 point loss to the Jazz followed up by an 11 point win over the Raptors on Saturday.

Trae Young had a spectacular game with 28 points, 13 assists and two blocks while Clint Capela continues to control the interior for the Hawks with 23 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks. The Hawks shot a blistering 56.8% from the field and 52.8% from deep in the 11 point win, helping mask their 18 turnovers.

Atlanta shot better from the field and from three but had more turnovers last week against Dallas, so they know that recipe won’t work for them in this one. Dallas allowed Minnesota to make three more triples whilst also having five more turnovers on Monday but controlled the boards and had Kristaps Porzingis put up a throwback game with 27 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks.

Atlanta has been the better side this year but Dallas has won three of their last four where the Hawks have just one win over the same stretch. The Mavs are piecing things together as a unit now we like them to push on in this one.

NBA Pick – Dallas Mavericks (-180)
NBA Spread – Atlanta Hawks +4.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 233.5 (-110)

Indiana Pacers @ Brooklyn Nets – 8PM ET

The Brooklyn Nets are really missing Kevin Durant, dropping their third straight game to Detroit last night and their issues on defense couldn’t be more obvious. The Indiana Pacers roll into town in hope of exploiting those even more, ending their own three game losing streak in the process.

The Pacers most recent game was a 95-103 loss to the league-leading Jazz where they shot under 40% from the field, under 30% from deep and were out-rebounded by 15. Domantas Sabonis led the Pacers in scoring but had just 20 points on 36.8% shooting while Malcolm Brogdon had only 15 on 35% shooting.

They will need a much better performance in order to keep up with Brooklyn tonight, but the Nets’ lack of defense should allow them to do so. The Nets have given up 120+ in 11 of their last 12 games, including last night’s 111-122 loss to the Pistons. Kyrie Irving (27 point, seven assists and two steals) and James Harden (24 points, 12 assists, two steals and five blocks) definitely played their part but the lack of depth was on show as no one else scored over 10 points.

Both Steve Nash and Irving have come out and made comments about the Nets’ quality of play and lack of pride following last night’s loss, so we expect them to come out hard to prove a point. However this Indiana team has the ability to put the clamps on whilst also scoring well on their own and we like the well rested Pacers on the road here.

NBA Pick – Indiana Pacers (-110)
NBA Spread – Indiana Pacers +1 (-115)
Total Points Pick – Over 235 (-110)

Charlotte Hornets @ Memphis Grizzlies – 8PM ET

The Memphis Grizzlies have dropped four straight games and now host a Charlotte Hornets side that is coming in with incredible form. The Hornets have gone 5-2 in their last seven games with the two losses being to Utah and Philly, the top teams in the West and East respectively.

Charlotte’s most recent win was a 119-94 thrashing of Houston where they restricted the Rockets to just seven fourth quarter points. LaMelo Ball continued his incredible play to start his career with 24 points on 7/12 from downtown with 10 assists and seven rebounds. He had plenty of help with five other Hornets scoring in double figures, including his favorite alley-oop partner Miles Bridges, who ended with 19 points and 10 boards off the bench.

They well and truly deserved the win, shooting better from the floor, from deep and from the stripe whilst also having 12 more rebounds. They will be looking to control the game in similar fashion against an out of sync Grizzlies team.

Despite 27 points and 20 rebounds from Jonas Valanciunas and 22 points, five rebounds and two blocks from Dillon Brooks, Memphis gave up 128 points to Toronto in a 15 point loss.

Their four straight losses have been by an average of 13.5 points and Charlotte will be too much for them to handle. The Hornets have scored 119+ in five of their last six and the Memphis defense has given up an average of 124 points per game over their losing streak.

NBA Pick – Charlotte Hornets (+150)
NBA Spread – Charlotte Hornets +4 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 226 (-110)

Los Angeles Clippers @ Minnesota Timberwolves – 8PM ET

What seems like it should be a pretty straight forward pick, may not be so with the news that Paul George will miss his third straight game with his foot injury. The Los Angeles Clippers will need to find ways to fill the hole left by George as they have lost the last two without him and the Minnesota Timberwolves will be looking to pounce.

Malik Beasley had his best game of the season on Monday night but it wasn’t enough to get the Timberwolves over the line in a 122-127 loss to the Mavs. He put up 30 points, nine rebounds, six assists and six threes in the loss while Anthony Edwards continues to impress with 22 points, four assists, two steals and two blocks.

The story of the game was D’Angelo Russell leaving early with leg soreness and he is just questionable tonight’s game. The Wolves would love to have him out there against a shorthanded Clippers side that is missing both George and Pat Beverley. The Clippers have now lost two straight and three of their last four and will find it tough on a two game stretch without one of their two main stars.

LA entered the fourth quarter with a one point lead and despite 20 points and 10 rebounds from Kawhi Leonard and 23 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals off the bench from Lou Williams, the Clippers fell by three points to the in-form Kings.

A team of the Clippers’ calibre shouldn’t be losing three straight games, no matter who is out injured, and we don’t think that they will. While the Wolves have been extremely competitive of late, they have just one win from their last five games and LA’s class should get them the win here.

NBA Pick – Los Angeles Clippers (-400)
NBA Spread – Minnesota Timberwolves +9 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 225 (-110)

New Orleans Pelicans @ Chicago Bulls – 9PM ET

The New Orleans Pelicans are absolutely rolling right now, winning four straight games and are coming off a 29 point victory over the Rockets last night. They get on the road and head up to the Windy City where the rested Chicago Bulls are waiting for them and are looking to get back on track after a disappointing four point loss to the Wizards on Monday.

Zach LaVine poured in 35 points and an equal team high six assists but a 21-34 second quarter put Chicago too far back and they weren’t able to catch up again. Three Bulls starters combined for a dismal 9/30 from the field and there is no way that any team can win if they have that happen to them.

New Orleans on the other hand had a strong first half last night, leading 63-50 at the main break and then put the game out of reach with a 38-20 last quarter. The Pelicans had a full team performance with three scoring 20+ and another four in double figures but the game ball went to an unexpected player with Josh Hart having one of the best games of his career, finishing with 20 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks.

That is what has been inspiring for New Orleans, any of their players can step up to the plate and have their turn to make plays and take shots. Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson are the clear leaders and while Chicago has LaVine, they don’t have enough to slow down the Pels and keep up with them either.

NBA Pick – New Orleans Pelicans (-145)
NBA Spread – New Orleans Pelicans -3 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 230 (-110)

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Denver Nuggets – 9PM ET

The Denver Nuggets have lost three straight games and four of their last five but have a great opportunity to get back on track against a Cleveland Cavaliers side that has won just three of 11 road games this season.

While being extremely competitive, the Cavs ultimately crumbled late in Phoenix on Monday, losing 113-119. Collin Sexton led the team in scoring with 23 points and five assists but missed two shots and had a turnover all in the final minute, sealing the team’s fate. Andre Drummond had another big game with 15 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and two assists but will be kept extremely busy against one of the MVP front runners in Nikola Jokic.

The Joker followed up his career best 50 points with 35, 12 rebounds and six assists, but the Nuggets couldn’t keep up with the Bucks, who have the best offensive rating in the league, losing 112-125. Will Barton had 20 first half points but ended with just 24 as Denver dropped the second half by 16 points.

While Denver has dropped three straight, they have lost to the Lakers, the Bucks and the Kings, who were in the midst of a four game winning streak. Joker should be too much for the Cavs to handle and we like the Nuggets to get the win at home.

NBA Pick – Denver Nuggets (-450)
NBA Spread – Cleveland Cavaliers +9.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 224 (-110)

Milwaukee Bucks @ Phoenix Suns – 10PM ET

The Milwaukee Bucks, who have played three straight road games for three straight wins, travel to Arizona to take on the Phoenix Suns, who have played three straight home games for three straight wins.

The Bucks have in fact won five straight now, most recently in Denver by 13 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks in scoring with 30 points, nine rebounds and three blocks but Khris Middleton was the star of the show with 29 points on 56.2% shooting, along with 12 assists, eight rebounds and three steals.

Milwaukee shot over 50% from the field, got to the line six more times and had 12 more rebounds in the win but will need to be dialled in against a Phoenix side that is humming at home. Devin Booker put in season highs of 36 points and eight assists while Deandre Ayton had a good game down low with 15 points, 16 boards and three blocks, all of this with Chris Paul watching from the sidelines.

Both sides look like they will be without their point guards as Paul is questionable with a hamstring while Jrue Holiday is out due to health and safety protocols. The team that is in a better position to fill the void left by their main playmaker and in turn go on to win this game is the Bucks. They have the best net rating in the league along with the top offensive rating and will be too much for Phoenix to handle.

NBA Pick – Milwaukee Bucks (-175)
NBA Spread – Phoenix Suns +4 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 227.5

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Los Angeles Lakers – 10PM ET

A rematch of Monday night that saw the Los Angeles Lakers need an extra five minutes to escape with the 119-112 win. The Oklahoma City Thunder will be kicking themselves after holding an 11 point lead early in the last quarter but allowed LA to put up 34 in the last quarter and then could manage just two points in overtime.

Three OKC players put up 20+ points led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 29, 10 assists and seven boards while both Darius Bazley and Hamidou Diallo both added 10+ boards to their big point tallies. The worry for the Thunder is that they had three players tally at least 40 minutes and only used eight players in the rotation while the Lakers were without Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso, both of whom are questionable but likely to play tonight.

Someone who may miss is LeBron James who has logged 46 and 43 minutes in their last two games, but put his extra time on the floor to good use, finishing with a monster triple double of 28 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists, along with two steals and two blocks. Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell continue to impress as the Lakers’ two big offseason acquisitions, finishing with a combined 40 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

This is a clear danger game for the Lakers who struggled more than they should have on Monday and there is no confirmation for who will actually suit up in this one, but they have the depth to ensure they pick up the win. They have won an equal league best five straight games and should be shooting better than 23.7% from deep in the second leg of this set.

NBA Pick – Los Angeles Lakers (-950)
NBA Spread – Oklahoma City Thunder +12 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Under 217 (-110)
