It has been a slow start to the regular season for the Toronto Raptors and they will be looking to get things on track here on Tuesday night on the road in Brooklyn in this tournament game. The last several years Toronto has been one of the top contenders in the conference, even winning the NBA championship in 2019, but since then this team has arguably gone downhill and they now find themselves more towards the bottom of the standings on a permanent basis. That is a narrative they will be looking to rewrite with a quality performance here in this game, as they look to start stringing some victories together throughout the early part of the regular season, and into the month of December as well. They come into this game one game below .500 through their first 17 games of the season and they will be looking to grab their ninth victory of the year here on Tuesday night on the road in Brooklyn. 

The Brooklyn Nets are also experiencing a rather slow start to the regular season, and they will be looking to get things on track with a victory here at home on Tuesday night against the Toronto Raptors. Brooklyn is a team that likely should’ve had a super team had the wheels not fallen off last year when both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were traded in the middle of the season after the departure of James Harden to Philadelphia 76ers. However, now they have a rebuilt roster, and they will be looking to remain competitive within the Eastern Conference throughout the year. However, they need to start stringing some victories together, if they want to keep themselves within distance of a playoff spot throughout the early part of the regular season. Unfortunately for Brooklyn I don’t see things going too well for them in this game on Tuesday night as I look for the Toronto Raptors to grab the victory in New York City in this tournament matchup.

Atlanta Hawks @ Cleveland Cavaliers – 7:30PM ET

It has been a roller coaster of a start to the season for the Atlanta Hawks and they will be looking to get some momentum rolling in the right direction here on Tuesday night in Cleveland. Atlanta is a team that comes into the year with plenty of potential as long as they can remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season. They certainly have the stars on their roster to be a competitive playoff team this season, but it all comes down to how effective they are at times throughout the year. Atlanta comes into this game on Tuesday night in Cleveland hovering around the .500 mark and a victory in this game would put them on the right track heading into the month of December. They come into this game with eight victories through their first 16 games of the season and they will be looking to get above the .500 mark with a victory here on Tuesday night in Cleveland as well as grab themselves a tournament victory in the process.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have also experienced an up-and-down start to the regular season, and they will be looking to get things rolling in the right direction where they quality performance here at home on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks. Cleveland is a team that came into this season with high expectations after being upset in the first round of the playoffs by the New York Knicks last year. They will be looking to grow from that and make a deeper playoff run this season, but they will have to remain consistent and healthy throughout the regular season if they want to accomplish their goal of getting back to the postseason. Cleveland comes into this game with nine victories through their first 17 games of the season and they will be looking to break the double digit win mark with a quality performance here on Tuesday night at home against the Atlanta Hawks. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Cleveland Cavaliers to defend their home floor and pick up the victory over the Atlanta Hawks here in this one.

Charlotte Hornets @ New York Knicks – 7:30PM ET

It has been a slow start to the season for the Charlotte Hornets because of the inconsistent play from their point guard LaMelo Ball. Now he is dealing with injuries so it may be an even longer start to the season for the Charlotte Hornets if they don’t figure out a solution heading into the month of December. They will be looking to get things rolling in the right direction with a quality performance here on Tuesday night in this tournament game at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks. Charlotte is a team that has plenty of potential, but they have yet to live up to that potential throughout the early part of the regular season as inconsistency and injuries have left them towards the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference. Charlotte comes into this game as losers of 10 out of their first 15 on the season and they will be looking for their six victory of the year here on Tuesday night on the road in New York City.

The New York Knicks are off to a quality start to the season after building up plenty of momentum over the last couple of weeks. They had a rough start of the year after coming into the season with very high expectations after making it to the second round of the postseason last year. However, after about seven or eight games of having a rough start, they have picked it up and they have got things going in the right direction heading into the end of November. They will be looking to maintain that momentum heading into the rest of the calendar year and it starts with grabbing a quality victory here on Tuesday night at home against the Charlotte Hornets. The New York Knicks coming into this game two games above .500 through their first 16 games of the season and they will be looking for their 10th one of the year here on Tuesday night in this tournament game. That is exactly what I expect out of New York as I look for them to pick up the victory and cover the spread in the process at home against Charlotte.

Houston Rockets @ Dallas Mavericks – 8:30PM ET

The Houston Rockets are off to a decent start to the regular season, and they will be looking to maintain that start of the year with a quality victory on the road in Dallas here on Tuesday night. Houston has been one of the worst teams in the league throughout the past couple of seasons so to see their progress in their building process has been nice. They will be looking to maintain that progress with a quality victory against one of the best teams in the league here on Tuesday night in this tournament matchup as they look to take down Kyrie Irving, Luka Dončić, and the Dallas Mavericks. It seems like Houston has finally found the right mix of season veterans and young players to lead them to a potential playoff appearance this season. Houston comes into this game with eight victories through their first 14 games of the season and they will be looking for their ninth one of the year here on Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks.

Dallas Mavericks Rockaway quality starts the regular season and they will be looking to maintain that quality start with another solid performance here on Tuesday night at home against Houston. This is a tournament matchup, and a victory in this game, for the Dallas Mavericks will help them advance to the quarterfinals of the NBA cup as they look to continue stringing victories together throughout the early part of the year. As long as Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving continue to play the way they have throughout the early part of the season, this is going to be a very dangerous Dallas team by the time the playoffs come around. The Mavericks coming into this game with 10 victories through their first 16 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their 11th one of the year here at home on Tuesday night. That is exactly what I expect out of Dallas as I look for the Mavericks to grab a solid victory here at home against a young and hungry Houston Rockets team.

Golden State Warriors @ Sacramento Kings – 10PM ET

The Golden State Warriors got off to a quality start to the regular season before injuries caught up to them and put them behind the eight ball throughout the month of November. Now that they are fully healthy once again, they will be looking to get back on track to wrap up the month of November and heading into the month of December on a positive note. Golden State has the potential to still compete for championships each and every year as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season. They will be looking to get a victory early in the year here on the road in Sacramento on Tuesday night in this tournament matchup against the Kings. Golden State comes into this game one game below the .500 mark through their first 17 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their ninth victory of the year here on Tuesday night on the road in Sacramento as they look to get things back on track throughout the end of the month. 

The Sacramento Kings came into this season with plenty of expectations after breaking a two decades long playoff drought at the end of last season. It has been somewhat of a respectable start to the regular season for the Sacramento Kings as they come into this game with nine victories through their first 15 games of the year. They will be looking to get into the double digit column with a solid performance here on Tuesday night at home against the Golden State Warriors as they look to pick up a tournament victory in the process. A victory in this game against Golden State would also give them a huge momentum boost heading into the month of December as they look to finish 2023 strong and gear up for a playoff run down the final stretch of 2024. I expect this to be a close and competitive game here on Tuesday night in Sacramento, but in the end I do look for the Sacramento Kings to pick up the victory at home over the Golden State Warriors.
