Miami Heat @ Charlotte Hornets – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Miami Heat came into this season with plenty of expectations as many people looked for them to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. They have gotten off to a relatively slow start throughout the first handful of games this season, and they will be looking to grab a victory here on Tuesday night in this tournament game as they look to get things rolling in the right direction. They have definitely been building some momentum over the last week and a half and they finally have a winning record once again and they will be looking for their seventh victory of the season here on Tuesday night against Charlotte. After winning only one of their first five games of the season, Miami has pulled off a solid five game-winning streak, and they will be looking to extend that winning streak to six games with a divisional victory here in this one. As they look to make their way back up the standings within the conference throughout the early part of the year.

The Charlotte Hornets come into this game, looking to derail the momentum of the Miami Heat in this tournament contest on Tuesday night at home. Charlotte is off to a pretty lackluster start this season as they come into this game as losers of six out of their first nine games of the year and they will be looking for their fourth victory of the season here on Tuesday night. LaMelo Ball has been putting up some less than impressive performances throughout the early part of the season, which has led to some rough games for Charlotte. He will need to improve upon his play, and his efficiency on the court if Charlotte wants to find any type of sustainable success this season. Charlotte will be happy to be home in this one after playing four out of their last five games on the road but despite being in front of their home fans, I don’t look for it to change the outcome of this game. As I look for the Miami Heat to go on the road and pick up the victory here in this one on Tuesday night.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Miami Heat -3.5 (-105)

Atlanta Hawks @ Detroit Pistons – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

After starting out the season with some less than impressive performances, Atlanta has managed to put some momentum together and pick up some much-needed victories throughout the early part of the regular season. They come into this game hovering around .500 but they do have a winning record through their first nine games of the season. Now they will be looking for their sixth victory of the season here on Tuesday night on the road in Detroit. They have an opportunity to get a victory over a struggling Detroit Pistons team and this is one of those early season games that if you lose, you’ll look back on and wonder if it ends up costing you a playoff spot or a playoff series. They will be looking to bounce back after dropping a game to Miami in their previous contest, as they look to go on the road and get a victory over Detroit and their third road game in their previous five games. Atlanta will also be looking for a tournament victory here in this one to keep themselves in a position to make the knockout rounds of the tournament.

The Detroit Pistons are struggling right now and it is no surprise because they are one of the youngest teams in the league this season. They come into this game with nine losses, their first eleven games of the season and they will be looking to get things back on track with a victory here at home on Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks. They are currently on a massive eight game losing streak that has put them at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings coming into this game on Tuesday night, and they will be looking for a much-needed victory. They have lost four out of their first five home games on the season and they are not doing a solid job at defending their home court either nor have they been competitive over the course of the losing streak. Unless things turn around quickly for Detroit, they could be stuck in the basement for the remainder of the regular season. Unfortunately for the Pistons, I don’t see things turning around in this game as I look for Atlanta to grab a comfortable victory on the road.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Atlanta Hawks -4.5 (-110)

Indiana Pacers @ Philadelphia 76ers – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Indiana Pacers are off to a respectable start this season, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with a quality victory over Philadelphia on the road on Tuesday night. Indiana is being led by their point guard Tyrese Haliburton, and he has the Pacers playing at a high-level throughout the early part of the regular season. Indiana comes into this game with sixth victories through their first handful of games on the year but they haven’t been the greatest on the road in their first three opportunities. As they have only managed to pick up a single victory on the road in three games, and they will be looking for their second road victory of the season here on Tuesday in this tournament contest against Philadelphia. Perhaps they have benefited from a schedule that has been loaded with home games but they will get a true measuring stick opportunity in this game on Tuesday night against Philly. This will be their second consecutive game against Philadelphia and they lost their last one by double digits so they will be hoping to return the favor here on Tuesday night.

Philadelphia comes into this game looking to grab their second consecutive victory at home over the Indiana Pacers here on Tuesday night in this tournament contest. Despite the absence of James Harden, they are off to an absolutely fantastic start this season as they have picked up eight victories, and their first nine games of the year. They will be looking to keep their hot start to the season going with another victory here on Tuesday night in this tournament game against Indiana after already beating them by double digits in their previous game. It was an incredible performance from Tyrese Maxey in that game as he dropped 50 points, and he will be looking to replicate that performance here on Tuesday night as well. Philadelphia is on an incredible run at the moment as they have not lost since their opening game of the season and they are undefeated throughout the month of November thus far. I expect them to have another quality performance in this game and pick up their ninth consecutive victory of the season here on Tuesday night against Indiana.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Philadelphia 76ers -5.5 (-110)

Orlando Magic @ Brooklyn Nets – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Orlando Magic come into this game looking to get a solid early season victory in this tournament matchup on the road in Brooklyn on Tuesday night. Orlando is a team that has plenty of potential as long as they can remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season. A victory on the road in Brooklyn would help them with a massive much-needed momentum boost early on in the year. Orlando comes into this game as winners of five out of their first nine games of the season and they are coming off of a victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in their previous contest. Now they will kick off a road trip here on Tuesday night in Brooklyn and they will be looking to get it off on the right foot with a quality performance against the Brooklyn Nets. Orlando is currently clinging onto the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and they have split their first four games so they will be looking for their third road victory of the season here in this one as well.

The Brooklyn Nets come into this game looking to get a tournament victory and a solid win over a young and hungry Orlando Magic team here on Tuesday night at home. It has been a less than impressive start to the season for Brooklyn and they will need a quality win to get things going in the right direction. They have split their first ten games of the season, and they will be looking for their sixth victory of the year in this one as they look to climb up the Eastern Conference standings and get themselves a fifth victory within the Eastern Conference early on in the year as well. Brooklyn is coming off of a victory in their previous game and they will be looking to parlay that momentum into a second consecutive win here on Tuesday night at home. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening for Brooklyn as I look for Orlando to get back on track and pick up the win here in this one on the road on Tuesday night.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Orlando Magic (+100)

Portland Trail Blazers @ Utah Jazz – 9PM ET

Tony Battalio

The first few weeks of the post Damian Lillard have not gone how Portland would’ve liked them to go. They are off to a pretty slow start this season, and they will be looking to turn things around and it starts with grabbing a victory on the road against Utah and this tournament game on Tuesday night. Portland has struggled throughout the early part of the year as they are just too young to compete in the NBA at the moment and they will need a lot more experience to win games down the stretch. On the bright side for Portland, several key players have stepped up in the absence of a true superstar, and that is something for them to build on well into the future. They come into this game as losers of six out of their first nine games on the season, and they will be looking for their fourth victory of the year here on Tuesday night in Utah. They have not played well on the road so far this season and their schedule is loaded with road games early on in the year. They have lost four out of their first six games on the road this year, and they will be looking for their third victory on the road here in this one.

Utah came into this season with plenty of expectations, but they have been struggling throughout the early part of the season. They will be looking to get things turned around with a victory here on Tuesday night in this tournament game at home against Portland. They have been a pretty tough team to beat at home over the last couple of years and they will be looking to hold through to that narrative in this game on Tuesday as they look to get momentum rolling in the right direction throughout the month of November. Utah comes into this game, sitting towards the bottom of the conference standings as they have lost seven out of their first ten games of the season, and they will need to turn things around rather quickly if they want to remain competitive throughout the year. I do expect Utah to pick up a victory in this game on Tuesday night against a struggling Portland team, as they look to grab their fourth victory of the season in convincing fashion and a tournament victory in the process. As I look for this game to go down to the wire, but in the end, I do expect Utah to pull away and grab the wind over Portland in Salt Lake City.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Utah Jazz (-275)
