Portland Trail Blazers @ Milwaukee Bucks – 3:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a pretty rough start to the post Damian Lillard for the Portland Trail Blazers and they will be looking to grab a solid, momentum boosting victory here on Sunday afternoon in Milwaukee. This will be their first game against Damian Lillard since he left the team and it will certainly be an emotional one, but maybe not as emotional because it is taking place in Milwaukee and not Portland this time around. They will be looking to Damian Lillard that he should’ve stuck around with Portland as they look to pick up a massive momentum boosting win over one of the top teams in the league here on Sunday afternoon on the road. Portland is struggling to find a player who can step up late and win them games like Damian Lillard used to and that has cost them several games throughout the early part of the regular season. Portland comes into this game with a record of 4-11 through their first 15 games of the regular season. They have struggled away from home this season as they have lost six out of their eight games away from their home arena, and they will be looking to change the narrative with a victory here on Sunday.

The Milwaukee Bucks have the potential to be the best team in the league this season as long as they get healthy and remain consistent throughout the regular season. Injury issues have popped up for them throughout the early part of the year and so have some consistency issues but they will be working all that stuff out throughout the early part of the year and they will be helping by the time they get to the end of the season, they are the top team in the Eastern Conference. Damian Lillard will be playing against his old team for the first time since leaving Portland, which makes this game that much more meaningful for him and the Milwaukee Bucks here on Sunday night at home. Milwaukee comes into this game with 11 victories through their first 16 games of the season and I look for them to pick up a comfortable victory here on Sunday night at home as well. Not only do I look for them to pick up the win, but I also look for them to cover the spread in the process.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Milwaukee Bucks -12.5 (-110)

Atlanta Hawks @ Boston Celtics – 6PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Atlanta Hawks will be playing the second game of a back-to-back, and hearing this one after playing the Washington Wizards on Saturday night. It was a successful victory for Atlanta over Washington on Saturday night on the road as they not only picked up the win, but they covered the spread in a blowout performance. Now they will be looking to hit the road and beat the Boston Celtics here on Sunday evening as they look to wrap up this back to back on a happy note and keep the momentum rolling early on in the regular season. Trae Young put up solid numbers to lead them to victory on Saturday night, and he will be looking to replicate those numbers here on Sunday as they look to take down one of the best teams in the league on their home floor. They come into this game hovering around the .500 mark with eight victories in their first 15 games of the season and they will be looking for their ninth victory here on Sunday night in Boston.

The Boston Celtics are off to a quality start to the regular season and they will be looking to pick up another victory here at home on Sunday night against the Atlanta Hawks. Boston currently occupies the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, and they will be looking to increase their lead with a quality performance here at home. Boston comes into this game with 12 victories to their name through their first 16 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their 13th victory of the year here on Sunday night against the Atlanta Hawks. They have been perfect at home throughout the early part of the year as they have picked up six victories in six opportunities at TD Garden, and they will be looking to remain perfect with another quality game here on Sunday. That is exactly what I expect out of Boston as I look for them to pick up the victory over the Atlanta Hawks here in this one for their seventh consecutive victory at home to open up the season.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Boston Celtics -7.5 (-110)

Charlotte Hornets @ Orlando Magic – 6PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a rough start to the season for the Charlotte Hornets, and they will be looking for a huge victory here on Sunday night on the road against the Orlando Magic. The rough start to the season for the Charlotte Hornets can be attributed to the fact that LaMelo Ball has been very inconsistent throughout the early part of the regular season. Now they will hit the road to play the second best team in the Eastern Conference right now, as they look to get a massive momentum boosting victory to get their season rolling in the right direction. Charlotte comes into this game as losers of nine out of their first 14 games on the season and they will be looking for their sixth victory of the year here on Sunday night in Orlando. They find themselves sitting in the basement of the conference standings, and unless something changes rather quickly, they will likely be out of playoff contention by the time the All-Star break comes around. They have lost three out of their first five games away from home this season, and they will be looking for their third road victory of the season as well.

The Orlando Magic are off to an incredible start to this season as they currently find themselves in second place of the Eastern Conference standings coming into this game on Sunday night at home. They will be looking to gain brown on the first place Boston Celtics with a quality victory here on Sunday night against their struggling Charlotte Hornets team. Orlando has already played eight games at home this season as the majority of their games have come on their home floor and they have picked up six victories in that span. They will be looking for their seventh victory at home here on Sunday night as they look to keep the momentum rolling on their quality start to the regular season. They come into this game with 11 victories through their first 16 games of the year and they will be looking to make it 12 out of 17 with another solid performance here in this one. They are currently on a six game winning streak that they will be looking to extend as well. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Orlando Magic to pick up the win here in this game.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Orlando Magic -6.5 (-115)

Chicago Bulls @ Brooklyn Nets – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a less than impressive start to the season for the Chicago Bulls, and they will be looking to get the momentum rolling in the right direction with a victory over Brooklyn here on Sunday night in New York City. Chicago has plenty of talent on the roster and with the amount of talent they have, they should be performing better throughout the early part of the season. However, unfortunately, that has not been the case as injuries and inconsistency has caught up to them throughout the early part of the year. Chicago finds themselves towards the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference after losing 12 out of their first 17 games of the regular season. They will be desperate for a huge momentum boosting victory to get things going in the right direction heading into the end of November as they look to establish themselves as a potential playoff team this season.

It has not been a banner start to the season for the Brooklyn Nets either and they will also be desperate to pick up a huge momentum boosting win here on Sunday night at home against the Chicago Bulls. Brooklyn finds themselves in a similar situation as Chicago, as they come into this game with a losing record through their first 15 games of the year but they have been better than the Chicago Bulls throughout the early part of the season at least. As Brooklyn has the opportunity to get themselves to .500 with a victory here on Sunday night at home and it would be their eighth victory of the season and they’re for 16 games. Through their first eight home games of the season they have been average as they have won four out of eight and they will be looking for a fifth victory at home here on Sunday night. That is exactly what I expect out of the Brooklyn Nets as I look for them to grab the win at home in the second game of this back to back after facing off with Miami on Saturday night.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Brooklyn Nets -3.5 (-110)

Toronto Raptors @ Cleveland Cavaliers – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

It has been a rather slow start to the season for the Toronto Raptors, and they will be looking to get things turned around with a quality performance here on Sunday night on the road in Cleveland. Toronto had become accustomed to being one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference over the last several seasons, but that has not been the case this year as they find themselves more towards the bottom of the standings. They will be looking to get the momentum rolling in the right direction with a solid win here in a tough environment against a hot Cleveland Cavaliers team that will be playing the second game of a back-to-back. Toronto is currently hovering around the .500 mark holding onto the back end of a play-in spot through their first 16 games of the regular season. They will be looking to grab their ninth victory of the season here on Sunday night on the road against Cleveland as they look to make their way up the standings.

The Cleveland Cavaliers come into this game in a similar situation like the Toronto Raptors throughout the early part of the season. They have been hovering around .500 after a slow start to the year has put them behind the eight ball when it came to the expectations they had coming into the season. They will be looking to grab a victory in this one after losing the first game of a back-to-back on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Lakers at home as they look to wrap up this back to back with a positive performance and a victory here at home on Sunday. They will need a solid performance out of guys like Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley if they want to pick up the victory over the Toronto Raptors here in this one at home on Sunday Sunday night. I expect to be a close and competitive game, but in the end I do look for the Cleveland Cavaliers to pick up the victory over the Toronto Raptors on their home floor.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Cleveland Cavs -1.5 (-110)
