Memphis Grizzlies @ Washington Wizards – 7PM ET

The Memphis Grizzlies will be looking for a solid victory in the second game of their back-to-back against the Washington Wizards here on Saturday evening. In the first game of their back-to-back, they played the defending NBA champions as they played host to the Denver Nuggets on Friday night. Now they will hit the road for the first time this season and what will be a quick one game trip for them before returning home to close out the month of October. They will be looking for a much-needed victory here in this one on Saturday night against the Washington Wizards, as they look to prove that they are still a solid team, even without Ja Morant in the lineup for the majority of the year. 

The Washington Wizards will be looking for a solid victory in this game at home on Saturday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. This is a new era for the Washington Wizards as they are without longtime superstar, Bradley Beal, and they will be looking to kickstart this new era with a victory here on Saturday night at home. It was not an ideal start to the season for Washington in their opening game of the year against the Indiana Pacers as they were blown out by over 20 points, and they will be looking to bounce back here in this one. Unfortunately for them I don’t see that happening as I look for Memphis to pick up the victory here in this game on Saturday night on the road.

Indiana Pacers @ Cleveland Cavaliers – 7:30PM ET

The Indiana Pacers will be looking to pick up a solid victory on the road against Cleveland here on Saturday night as they look to pick up an early season divisional victory. It was a solid start to the season for Indiana as they blew out the Washington Wizards and their first game of the season, and they will be looking to pick up their second consecutive victory of the year with another victory here in this one on Saturday night against Cleveland. The Pacers are a young team that has plenty of talent and they are capable of making a playoff run this season as long as they remain healthy and consistent and they will be looking for a statement victory here in this one as well.

The Cleveland Cavaliers arguably survived by the skin of their teeth in their opening game of the season against the Brooklyn Nets. This will be the second game of a back to back for the Cleveland Cavaliers as they faced off with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night and they will be looking to find success in this quick turnaround on Saturday night as well. Cleveland has plenty of key pieces needed to make a playoff run this season, but they will have to remain consistent and that is something that haunted them at the end of the year last year as they went cold in their first round playoff series. I expect Cleveland to pick up a solid victory here on Saturday night against Indiana as they look to keep the momentum rolling. 

Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors – 7:30PM ET

The Philadelphia 76ers will be looking for a solid victory here on Saturday night north of the border in Canada when they take on the Toronto Raptors. Philadelphia comes into the season with plenty of expectations and they will be looking for an early season victory on the road against a team that could potentially contend for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference this season. It was a less than ideal start to the season for the Philadelphia 76ers as they came up just short against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, and they will be looking to regroup and bounce back here in this game on Saturday night against Toronto as they are searching for their first victory of the season.

The Toronto Raptors will be looking too further to the misery of the Philadelphia 76ers this season with a victory here on Saturday night at home. This will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Toronto Raptors after they spent Friday night in the Windy City, playing the Chicago Bulls and they will be looking for some success on this quick 24 hour turnaround as they return home to play the Philadelphia 76ers. This will be the first home game of a homestand for the Toronto Raptors and their second home game of the season after they opened up the year with a victory at home against the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this week. Unfortunately for Toronto, I don’t expect them to have the same luck in this one, as I look for the Philadelphia 76ers to take home the victory. 

Miami Heat @ Minnesota Timberwolves – 8PM ET

The Miami Heat will be looking for a solid early season win on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves here on Saturday night. It is not very often teams from the Eastern Conference and Western Conference meet up in the regular season so Miami will be looking to take advantage of this game and pick up a solid victory in this conference matchup to wrap up the first weekend of NBA regular season play. This will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Miami Heat and their second game on the road during this back-to-back after spending Friday night in Boston playing against the Boston Celtics. Miami will be looking to pull out a victory during this quick turnaround here on Saturday night in Minnesota.

Minnesota will be looking for a solid victory in this game against one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference here on Saturday night at home when they welcome in the Miami Heat. Minnesota has plenty of talent on their roster and they will be looking to exceed their expectations after their disappointing year last year despite having guys like Rudy Gobert, and Karl Anthony Towns on the roster. It was a less than impressive start of the season for Minnesota as they lost to the Toronto Raptors in their opening game of the year and they will still be searching for their first victory of the season here in this one. Unfortunately from Minnesota I don’t see that happening as I look for the Miami Heat to pick up the victory in this game on Saturday night on the road.

Utah Jazz @ Phoenix Suns – 10PM ET

The Utah Jazz will be looking for a statement victory early on in the season in this game on Saturday night against the Phoenix Suns. Utah is expected to compete for a playoff spot in the Western Conference this season, and they can prove the doubters wrong with a solid victory in this game against one of the frontrunners here on Saturday night on the road. This will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Utah Jazz as they hosted the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night at home, and they will be hoping to find some success with this very very quick turnaround against the Phoenix Suns here on Saturday night on the road. This will be their first road game of the season so it’ll be interesting to see how they perform away from home.

The Phoenix Suns are arguably the favorites in the Western Conference to bring home the NBA championship. They have an absolutely loaded roster that includes guys like Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, and as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season, there are not many teams that will get the better of them, especially when it comes time in a seven game series. They are off to a solid start this season after they opened up the year with a victory against the Golden State Warriors, but unfortunately for Phoenix, they were unable to follow up with a victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. They will be looking to get back into the winners column with a victory here in this game and that is exactly what I expect as I have the Suns taking home the win.
