Washington Wizards @ Detroit Pistons – 7pm ET

It has been a rather rough start to the season for the Washington Wizards as the pairing of Kyle Kuzma, and Jordan Poole has not gone to plan throughout the early part of the regular season. They will be looking to grab a massive momentum boosting victory on the road in Detroit here on Monday night against a struggling Detroit Pistons team as they look to get things going in the right direction throughout the early part of the regular season. Washington comes into this game sitting towards the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference as they have gone on a massive losing streak that has left them way on the outside looking in concerning the playoff picture throughout the last two months of 2023. Washington will be looking to bolster their record by grabbing a victory over fellow basement weather Detroit here on Monday night on the road as they look to revitalize their season. They come into this game with 14 losses through their first 16 games of the season and something will need to change quickly if they want to remain competitive heading into the new year.

The Detroit Pistons find themselves in a similar situation as Washington as they come into this game with an identical record of 2-14 through their first 16 games of the regular season. It was also a massive losing streak that put Detroit at the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference, and they will be looking to recover slowly but surely, and it starts with grabbing a victory here on Monday night at home against Washington. If Detroit can find a way to pull out a victory in this game and snap their current losing streak, it would give them a little bit of a momentum boost heading into the start of December. It would also give the young players on the Pistons some confidence to get this team out of the hole they find themselves in at the moment. Detroit will be looking to defend their home Court here on Monday night in this game against Washington but unfortunately for the Pistons, I don’t see that happening as I do look for the Wizards to pick up the win here in this one.

Portland Trail Blazers @ Indiana Pacers – 7pm ET

Portland is still struggling to find a replacement for Damian Lillard and that was a clear problem on Sunday afternoon against the Milwaukee Bucks. Portland got off to a rather respectable start to the game and they had a big lead over the Milwaukee Bucks but eventually Damian Lillard led Milwaukee back to get the win. Portland lacks a true game closer like they had with Damian Lillard and they are still looking to find that player as they struggle throughout the early part of this regular season. They have had a couple players emerge as potential leaders for this team, but right now they are still struggling and that is why they find themselves towards the bottom of the standings throughout the early part of the regular season. They will be looking to get things back on track with a victory here on Monday night as they continue their Midwest road trip in Indiana for the second game of this back-to-back against the Indiana Pacers. 

The Indiana Pacers are off to a somewhat respectable start to the regular season, and then they will be looking to keep them a minimum rolling with another victory here on Monday night at home against Portland. The play of Tyrese Haliburton has put them in a position to be successful this season as he has clearly looked like the best point guard in the league so far this year. He will be looking to maintain that level of individual success, and continue leading Indiana to victories throughout the early part of the year as well. The Pacers come into this game with an opportunity to get a momentum boost with a victory over a Portland team that has struggled to produce victories and close out games late throughout the first month and a half of the regular season. Indiana comes into this game with nine victories to their name and I look for them to grab their 10th victory of the season here on Monday night at home against Portland as I look for them to not only pick up the win but cover the spread in the process. 

Los Angeles Lakers @ Philadelphia 76ers – 7pm ET

The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a somewhat successful start throughout the early part of the regular season, and they will be looking to maintain that momentum with another quality performance against the Philadelphia 76ers. Los Angeles led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and both of them have remained consistent throughout the early part of the season, despite battling injury issues at times throughout the year. If Los Angeles can remain healthy and consistent. They have the potential to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference this season, and they could potentially compete for an NBA championship, if the chips fall in the right direction for the franchise. They come into this game looking to pick up an upset victory on the road against one of the top teams in the league as they look to take down Joel Embiid in the Philadelphia 76ers here on Monday night in the city of brotherly love. The Lakers come into this game with 10 victories through their first 17 games of the season and they will be looking to make it 11 out of 18 with another quality performance.

The Philadelphia 76ers are off to a fantastic start to the regular season, and they will be looking to maintain that momentum with another victory here at home on Monday night over the Los Angeles Lakers. Philadelphia has gotten off to an incredible start to the year despite all the off the court dramas surrounding them prior to the beginning of the season. They have looked much better without James Harden on the roster than they would’ve with James Harden on the roster throughout the early part of the year so apparently the front office made the correct move to move on from him and players, like Tyrese Maxey, to have more of the ball in their hands. So far it has paid off for the Philadelphia 76ers and they come into this game as one of the best teams in the conference, and they will be looking to add to their win total with a solid performance over the Lakers here on Monday. Philadelphia comes into this game with 11 victories through their first 16 games of the regular season and I look for them to pick up their 12th victory of the season here on Monday night against the Lakers.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Utah Jazz – 9pm ET

Despite dealing with several key players missing time throughout the early part of the regular season it is still been a quality start of the year for New Orleans. They will be looking to maintain that start to the season with another decent performance here on Monday night on the road in Salt Lake City against the Utah Jazz. New Orleans is hovering around .500 with a winning record through their first 17 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their 10th victory of the season here on Monday night on the road in Utah. They have been pretty consistent despite CJ McCollum missing a chunk of time throughout the early part of the year and Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram being banged up as well. They will be looking to put all that behind them as they look to grab a victory in this game, even without CJ McCollum in the lineup here on Monday night in Salt Lake City. New Orleans will be looking to get revenge for the last time they played Utah on the road as they lost earlier on this season. 

Utah is off to a rather rough start to the regular season after into the year with plenty of expectations of being one of the top teams in the Western Conference. They will be looking to get things back on track with a quality victory here on Monday night at home as they look to pick up their second victory of the season against New Orleans here in this one. The last time these two teams met it was a high scoring affair that Utah came out on top of by five points on Saturday night. Now they will play their second consecutive game against each other, and Utah will be looking for their second consecutive victory against New Orleans here in this one on Monday night at home. They will need some type of momentum boost throughout the end of November and beginning of December as they look to turn their rough start to the season around and establish themselves as a potential playoff team this season. Unfortunately for Utah I do not look for lightning to strike twice as I look for New Orleans to grab the victory here in this one.

Denver Nuggets @ Los Angeles Clippers – 10:30pm ET

The Denver Nuggets have not been experiencing any type of championship hangover throughout the early part of the regular season. They have looked solid throughout the month of November, and they will be looking to replicate that performance to close out the month with a quality game here on Monday night on the road in Los Angeles. Denver comes into this game as the potential favorites to repeat as NBA champions this season as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the regular season. They have been perfect at doing that throughout the early part of the year, as Nikola Jokić looks to be on pace to win his third MVP award in the last four seasons, with the way he has performed throughout the early part of the season. Denver comes into this game with 11 victories through their first 17 games of the season and they will be looking for their 12th victory of the year here on Monday night on the road in Los Angeles against the Clippers.

The Los Angeles Clippers have plenty of potential with the amount of superstars they have on their roster, but so far they have not lived up to that potential throughout the early part of the regular season. As they immediately went on a lengthy losing streak with the arrival of James Harden, and they are still looking to recover from that throughout the remainder of November, and into the month of December as well. The Los Angeles Clippers come into this game one game below the .500 mark through their first 15 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their eighth victory of the season here on Monday night at home against the defending NBA champions. This is a Los Angeles Clippers team that had very high expectations coming into the regular season and they will be looking to get things rolling in the right direction when they quality performance here on Monday night. Unfortunately for Los Angeles I don’t see that happening in this one as I look for Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets to grab the win on the road here in this one.
