The Miami Heat are off to a successful start to the season, and they look to keep the momentum rolling here on the road in Charlotte on Monday night. They have been one of the main contenders in the Eastern Conference throughout the last several seasons, and they look to reclaim their spot as one of the top contenders in the conference throughout this regular season as well. Despite having played in an NBA finals series, they have yet to reach their ultimate goal of winning the NBA title but if they remain healthy and consistent throughout the year, that is a legitimate possibility this season. Miami comes into this game with 12 victories through their first 22 games of the regular season and they will look for their 13th win of the year here on Monday night in Charlotte against the Hornets. Despite being a little shorthanded in this game on Monday night, they will still look to get the job done against a struggling Charlotte team.

It has been an awful start to the regular season for the Charlotte Hornets, as inconsistency and injuries have plagued them throughout the early part of the year. They come into this game looking to grab a huge momentum boost with a victory at home over the Miami Heat, as they look to get things going in the right direction heading into the middle of December. They come into this game as losers of 13 out of their first 20 games on the season and they will look for their eighth victory of the season here in this one on Monday night at home. Charlotte has a little bit of momentum coming into this game on Monday night at home after picking up a victory over the Toronto Raptors in their previous contest. Now they will look for their second consecutive victory of the season here on Monday night against the Miami Heat. However, I don’t see that happening as I look for the Miami Heat to come into Charlotte and pick up the victory here in this one to kick off the week on a positive note.

Indiana Pacers @ Detroit Pistons – 7PM ET

Despite losing in the finals of the NBA in-season tournament on Saturday against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Indiana Pacers are still off to a quality start to the regular season. It will look to keep the momentum rolling here on Monday night as they get back to action on the road against the Detroit Pistons. The play point guard Tyrese Haliburton has helped lead them to the successful start to the year. As he has clearly been the best point guard in the league throughout the early part of the year as well. He will lead the Indiana Pacers to another solid victory. On the road against a struggling Detroit Pistons team that has been one of the worst teams in the league throughout the last couple seasons. Indiana comes into this game with 12 victories through their first eight games of the regular season and they will look for their 13th victory of the year here on Monday night against the Detroit Pistons. They are currently on a three game-winning streak in the regular season as their loss to Los Angeles did not count towards their actual record.

The Detroit Pistons come into this game, looking to pick up a huge much-needed victory here on Monday night at home against their Central division rivals. Detroit comes into this game with 20 losses through their first 22 games of the regular season as they currently find themselves on a massive losing streak that seems to have no end in sight at the moment. They look to finally snap that losing streak with a quality performance here on Monday night at home against the Indiana Pacers as they look to pick up their first victory since the opening week of the year all the way back in October. They have been very uncompetitive throughout the entirety of this losing streak and I don’t see that changing in this game on Monday night either. As I look for the Indiana Pacers to come into Detroit and not only pick up the victory, but cover the spread in the process.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Orlando Magic – 7PM ET

It has been a roller coaster of a season for the Cleveland Cavaliers throughout the early part of the year, and they will be looking to string together some consistent performances with a quality game here on Monday night in Orlando. They are coming off of a fantastic victory over the Orlando Magic and their previous game in Cleveland last week and they will look for a second consecutive victory over Orlando here on Monday night in Orlando. They have been successful at times throughout the early part of the year, but other times they seem to lack a killer instinct to help them close out games late in the contest. It is something they will need to develop and maintain throughout the season, if they want to remain as a legitimate contender within the conference, heading into the new year. They come into this game with 13 victories through their first 22 games of the season and they will look for another victory here on Monday night on the road against the Magic. 

It has been a quality start to the regular season for the Orlando Magic as well, but they looked completely overwhelmed in one of their previous games against the Cleveland Cavaliers. They will be looking to return the favor this time around on Monday night at home as they look to add to their solid start of the year, as they look to further establish themselves as a legitimate team in the Eastern Conference. Orlando comes into this game with 15 victories through their first 22 games of the regular season and they will be looking for win number 16 here on Monday night in front of their home crowd. They do come into this game with a little bit of momentum after blowing out the Detroit Pistons to wrap up their trip away from home last weekend. They look to grab a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers and get their win back after their loss in Cleveland last week. That is exactly what I expect because I look for the Orlando Magic to respond at home and pick up the victory of the Cleveland Cavaliers here in this game.

Washington Wizards @ Philadelphia 76ers – 7PM ET

It has not been the ideal start to the season for Washington, and they will look to get things turned around here on Monday night on the road against Philadelphia. Throughout the early part of the season, their dynamic duo has not exactly found any type of solid chemistry together and it has caused them a loss in some crucial games coking down the stretch and several key games throughout the early part of the year. Washington comes into this game on a massive losing streak as they have lost 18 out of their first 21 games on the regular season and they look to get things rolling in the right direction with the quality performance here on Monday night in Philadelphia. This feels like a must win game for Washington as they look to get things back on track heading into the middle of December and they will need to turn things around rather quickly if they want to remain competitive. 

Philadelphia is off to a fantastic start to the regular season and they will look to keep the momentum rolling with another quality performance here at home on Monday night. For the last several seasons, they have been one of the top teams in the league, but they’ve been unable to break through and win an NBA championship. As long as they can remain healthy and consistent, they have a legitimate shot at doing so this year. Philadelphia has one of the best records in the league throughout the early part of the regular season and they will look to add another victory to their record with a quality performance here on Monday night at home against a struggling Wizards team. The 76ers come into this game with 14 victories through their first 21 games of the regular season and they have been very tough to beat at home as well. I expect more of the same here in this game on Monday night as I look for them to grab the victory and cover the spread against Washington.

Brooklyn Nets @ Sacramento Kings – 10PM ET

Brooklyn is off to a respectable start to the regular season and they look to keep the momentum rolling when they head out to the West Coast for this game against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. They have had a lot of roster turnover over the last couple of seasons, and they are caught somewhere in between being a rebuilding team, and a backend playoff contender this season. A victory in this game could go a long way in helping them figure out the path. They will take throughout the regular season as they would give them a huge victory over one of the top teams in the league during the early part of the year. Brooklyn comes into this game with 12 victories through their first 21 games of the regular season and they will look for win number 13 here on Monday night out on the West Coast in Sacramento. They come into this game with plenty of momentum after winning three consecutive games, and they will look for a fourth consecutive victory here on Monday night against the Kings.

The Sacramento Kings are off to a decent start of the regular season as well and they will look to keep the momentum rolling with a hard fought victory here on Monday night at home. Less than a season after ending and nearly 2 decades long playoff drought, Sacramento has followed it up with a quality start to the regular season this time around as well. Sacramento comes into this game with 12 victories through their first 20 games of the regular season and they will  look for their 13th victory of the year here on Monday night at home. They come into this game with plenty of momentum after picking up a victory over the Phoenix Suns and their previous game on the road in the desert. I looked for them to grab a second consecutive win with another quality game here on Monday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
