Phoenix Suns @ Memphis Grizzlies – 5PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Phoenix Suns came into this season with plenty of expectations as it was their first full season with Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker on the roster. So far several players have missed time throughout the early early part of the season, but mostly Bradley Beal, who has been battling injuries for the majority of the year. They have been underwhelming at the beginning of the year but once this team gets fully healthy, they will be one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA this season. A Fully healthy Phoenix Suns team is gonna be the favorites to win the Western Conference as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the remainder of the regular season. Phoenix comes into this tournament game on Friday night against a struggling Memphis team looking to get a crucial victory to get things rolling in the right direction to wrap up the month of November. Phoenix comes into this game im looking to grab their 10th victory of the season here on Friday night on the road.

Memphis is having a hard time adjusting to life without Ja Morant in the lineup throughout the early part of the regular season. By the time he returns from his nearly year-long suspension, Memphis will likely be well out of playoff contention. If they continue to play the way they have been playing throughout the early part of the season. The only bright side from Memphis at the moment is other players are stepping up and filling the void for Ja Morant. If they continue that type of success when Ja Morant returns Memphis has an opportunity to be somewhat competitive throughout the rest of the year and into the future if they retain those players. Memphis comes into this game as losers of 11 out of their first 14 on the season, and they will be looking to recover and pick up their fourth victory of the year. Unfortunately for the grizzlies, I don’t see that happening and I look for the Phoenix Suns to pick up the win on the road here on Friday.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Phoenix Suns -6.5 (-115)

Detroit Pistons @ Indiana Pacers – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Detroit Pistons are having an awful start to the regular season, and if the early part of the year is any type of measurement, they are a long way away from being a competitive team once again. They will be desperately searching for a victory on Friday night in this tournament game against the Indiana Pacers as they also search for a divisional victory in the process. A lengthy losing streak has put them towards the bottom of the standings, and they seem very unlikely to climb out of the basement unless something changes rather quickly. Detroit comes into this game with only two victories through their first 15 games of the regular season and they are currently on a lengthy losing streak that seems likely to continue well into the future with the way they have been playing as of late. Detroit has lost their last 12 games of the season, and they will be looking to finally snap the losing streak with a victory here on Friday night in Indiana.

The Indiana Pacers have been playing solid basketball throughout the early part of the regular season, and they will be looking to maintain that momentum in this game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday night at home. Tyrese Halliburton has looked like one of the best guards in basketball throughout the last couple of weeks and his success on the court has led to success for the Indiana Pacers on the scoreboard as well. Indiana comes into this game as winners of eight out of their first 14 games on the regular season and they will be looking for their ninth victory of the season here on Friday night at home in this tournament matchup. They have already played nine home games this season as they have a bit of a front loaded home schedule, and they will be looking for their sixth victory at home on the season. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Indiana Pacers to pick up the comfortable victory over the Detroit Pistons and cover the spread in the process.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Indiana Pacers -9.5 (-105)

Denver Nuggets @ Houston Rockets – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Denver Nuggets aren’t experiencing much of a championship hangover and they are off to a quality start to the regular season. They will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Friday night on the road in Houston in this tournament matchup. Nikola Jokić has been playing like a man possessed as he looks to win his third MVP award in the last four seasons and Denver looks to win their second consecutive NBA championship as well. Denver comes into this game with 10 victories through their first 15 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their 11th one of the year here in this one against the Houston Rockets. Denver also has an opportunity to clinch themselves a spot in the quarterfinals of the NBA in season tournament with a victory here in this game against Houston on Friday night. Although they have struggled on the road this season, they will be looking for their fourth road victory of the year in nine opportunities.

The Houston Rockets are off to a quality start to the season and they will be looking to maintain that momentum with a victory here over the defending NBA champions on Friday night at home. A victory in this game would also keep them in the running for a potential quarterfinals spot in this NBA in season tournament. Houston has gotten off to a quality start this year to fight being one of the worst teams in the league over the last couple seasons, as they have found a solid mix of young rookies and seasoned veterans to lead this team into the future. Houston comes into this game as winners of seven out of their first 13 games of the season as they are hovering above .500 coming into this game against the Denver Nuggets. They will be looking for their eighth victory of the season here at home on Friday night in this tournament matchup. Unfortunately I don’t see that happening for Houston as I look for the Denver Nuggets to pick up the win in this one.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Denver Nuggets -3.5 (-105)

Washington Wizards @ Milwaukee Bucks – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Washington Wizards are off to a rough start to the regular season, and they will be looking to get things rolling in the right direction with a victory on the road against Milwaukee. Washington comes into this game with 12 losses through their first 14 games of the regular season and they will be looking for their third victory of the year here on Friday night in this tournament matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. Washington has been awful on the road throughout their first road games of the season as they’ve only managed to pick up a single victory in that time span. They have lost 11 of their first 12 games of the season against Eastern Conference opposition as well and they are playing one of the top teams in the league here on Friday night so it does not bode well for their chances to grab a victory in this game. They currently find themselves on a seven game losing streak, and they are losers of nine of their last 10 on the year as well.

The Milwaukee Bucks coming into this game looking to get a solid victory at home over Washington here on Friday night. Milwaukee has the potential to be one of the best teams in the league this season if they hit their stride with the pairing of Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Damian Lillard. They come into this game well above .500 through their first 15 games of the season as they have picked up 10 victories in that span. They will be looking to grab their 11th victory of the season here on Friday night at home in this tournament game against a struggling Washington team. Milwaukee has been rather successful at home this season winning six of seven games on their homecourt. They have picked up seven victories in their last 10 games on the year and I look for them to pick up a victory here on Friday night over the Washington Wizards as well. I also look for the Milwaukee Bucks to cover the spread in the process.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Milwaukee Bucks -13.5 (-105)

Sacramento Kings @ Minnesota Timberwolves – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Sacramento Kings came into this season with high expectations after making their first playoff appearance in two decades last year. Throughout the early part of the year they have found some success, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling in this tournament game on the road against Minnesota. Sacramento comes into this game with eight victories through their first 14 games of the year and they will be looking for their ninth victory of the season here on Friday night. They currently sit in sixth place of the Western Conference coming into this game as well. Now they will be looking to make their way up the standings by stringing some victories together throughout the months of November and December. They are currently on a two game losing streak, and they will be looking to break that losing streak with a victory over the top team in the Western Conference here on Friday night in this tournament game.

Minnesota is off to a fantastic start this season, and they come into this game as the top team in the Western Conference throughout the early part of the year. They have picked up 11 victories in their first 14 games of the season and they will be looking to maintain that hot start throughout the month of December as well. Their big three is playing well throughout the early part of the year and that is leading them to several victories throughout a rough part of their schedule. Now they will be looking to grab another solid victory over a Western Conference playoff team here on Friday at home in this tournament game. They come into this game as winners of three in a row and four out of their last five on the season and they will be looking to grab their fourth consecutive victory here on Friday night in this tournament game against the Sacramento Kings. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Minnesota to grab the victory in a close and competitive game against Sacramento.

SportsTips’ NBA Pick:

Minnesota Timberwolves -4.5 (-105)
