Detroit dropped their ninth in a row in a close one on Tuesday at Little Caesars Arena, falling to the Washington Wizards 119-117. Jaden Ivey had 26 points and 12 assists in the loss, carrying the team. The Pistons are 15th in the Eastern Conference.
It’s the last meeting of the season between the teams. Charlotte will be looking to split the season series after getting the win in only one of the three previous matchups, including a 117-106 victory at Spectrum Center on February 27.
Terry Rozier led the Hornets with 22 points, while Mark Williams added 15 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists. James Wiseman had 23 points in the loss. Rozier is averaging 21.3 points per game to lead the Hornets in scoring this season. Rozier also has dished 4.9 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Mason Plumlee is grabbing 9.7 rebounds. Bojan Bogdanovic (21.6 ppg) has supplied much of the Pistons’ offense. Jalen Duren is posting 8.7 rebounds per game, and Killian Hayes is recording 5.9 assists.
