Cleveland will be pursuing a season sweep against Boston after triumphing in both of their earlier games, the last of which was a 114-113 overtime victory at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in November 2022.
Darius Garland led the Cavaliers with 29 points and 12 assists. Jaylen Brown had 30 points in the loss. The Cavs have been led this season by Mitchell, who is averaging 27.2 points per game, eighth-highest in the league.
Meanwhile, Garland is dishing 7.9 assists per game, sixth-most in the league, and Jarrett Allen is grabbing 9.9 rebounds per game. Jayson Tatum and Brown have been the primary providers of the Celts’ offense, averaging 30.1 and 26.5 points per game, respectively. Tatum ranks sixth in the league.
Tatum also has averaged 8.7 rebounds per game. Marcus Smart has doled out 6.8 assists per game. The Celtics rank as the NBA’s second-best team in offensive efficiency, while the Cavaliers are second in defensive efficiency.
The Cavaliers have struggled in recent visits to TD Garden, losing eight of the last 10. Boston has won four straight at home this season.
