The strikeout-prone Milwaukee Brewers (41-38) face a tough test at Citi Field on Wednesday against the New York Mets (36-43) and Kodai Senga, owner of this season’s best K/9 rate.
The Mets leveled the series 1-1 after winning 7-2 on Tuesday, their first head-to-head victory in five games this season. Starter David Peterson threw six scoreless innings for the win.
Brandon Nimmo went 2 for 4 with two home runs and three RBIs in the win. Francisco Lindor added a solo home run. William Contreras was 2 for 5 with one run for the Brewers.

In his last start on Friday, Senga took the loss on the road against the Phillies. He threw 5.1 innings and gave up four runs (2 ER) on five hits, striking out six and walking three in the 5-1 defeat.
