The Milwaukee Brewers (22-17) host the Kansas City Royals (12-29) at American Family Field on Sunday with the home team in position for a sweep of the three-game Interleague series.
The Brewers lead the series 2-0 after winning 4-3 on Saturday. Devin Williams threw one scoreless inning out of the bullpen to get the win.
Christian Yelich went 2 for 4 with two home runs and three RBIs in the win. Salvador Perez was 2 for 4 with a solo home run for the Royals. Nick Pratto added two doubles and one RBI.
ON THE MOUND
Jordan Lyles (0-6, 6.20 ERA) is slated to take the mound for Kansas City. The righty went the distance in his last start, but he was the hard-luck loser in a 4-2 home defeat against the White Sox on Tuesday.
He allowed four runs on six hits. RHP Colin Rea (0-3, 4.94 ERA) will toe the rubber for Milwaukee. It’s his first appearance of the season against the Royals.
In his last appearance on Wednesday, Rea pitched out of the bullpen at home against the Dodgers. He threw 0.2 innings and gave up one run on two hits, walking two, in the 8-1 defeat.
