Spencer Turnbull (1-3, 7.85 ERA) is slated to take the mound for Detroit. The right-hander allowed three runs over 5.1 innings in his last start, a 3-2 road defeat against the Guardians on Wednesday. He took the loss, giving up three hits while striking out three and walking three.
For Milwaukee, LHP Eric Lauer (3-1, 4.30 ERA) will toe the rubber. It’s his first appearance of the season against the Tigers. In his last start on Wednesday, Lauer got the win on the road against the Mariners. He threw 7.2 innings and gave up two runs on four hits, striking out four and walking one in the 5-3 triumph.
